Calypso's Greek Taverna
My husband and I have been going here for years. We love the food and the great service. Everything we order is great, but my favorite is the roasted lamb which is always done to perfection. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome. We always have a wonderful time here and I’m looking forward to going back.

Calypso's Greek Taverna
This was the most delicious Greek meal I’ve found in the city. True authentic Greek food, like how Yiayia would make. The calamari was so tender and tasty. Feta and olives were great. But the Lamb chops were soo great. So much flavour and cooked perfectly. Lemon potatoes and rice were the a perfect side. The prices reasonable too. Great experience.

Best Greek restaurant in town. I've introduced friends and family to this place over the years and they've all become regulars like us. Always great food and service!My favorite dish is the Moussaka and Crystal can't get enough of the tzatziki that comes with the pita bread. Make sure you save room for the Ekmek and Bougatsa - they are amazing desserts!

I have been coming here for years and absolutely love this place! The owners are so friendly and definitely make you feel like one of the family! Everything I’ve tried (which is pretty much everything) has been so good! The portions are big and I find the prices very reasonable, especially compared to other Greek restaurants in the area! Definitely recommend!

I know it looks like it’s a lot but I swear u don’t feel stuffed after eating all of these. It wild salmon and shrimp were so good when they were cooked with butter and dill! Yes they are very generous with the butter! I couldn’t stop eating that I had to reply to my bfs msg after I finished the entire salmon! Oppa!

Cozy restaurant, relaxed atmosphere, great service and superb food. You can feel everything is made from scratch. The portions are generous and well presented. Highly recommended.

Very warm and cozy. The owners are very hospitable. Steak is a beautiful baseball cut. The appetizer platter was very filling. The chicken Artemis is absolutely precious. The Moussaka was very nicely prepared. My kid liked the lamb.. As long as we live in Calgary we will be coming back here. Love this place.

I ordered the roast lamb. My standard measure.The accompanying Greek salad was ok. The odd tomato had an odd flavour.The platter was generous.The vegetables were extremely over done.The potatoes were very salty and seemed not fresh today?The rice again had an odd hint of unusual flavour.The lamb tasted ok. But there were dry edges that make me wonder how fresh it was tho the flavour did not indicate it was old. Or not basted. It was very tender for the most part.The tzatziki was also disappointing. It had a taste of old store room which does not make sense.The waitress did the minimum. She dropped the plate and left. The wine was poured in a rough way causing a frothy top. Spent more time chatting with ?the owners.I see many wonderful reviews. It is disappointing to have such a mediocre meal. The other guests were obvious regulars who were warmly welcomed.I can’t come back and risk it. There are much better experiences out there.

I do not typically branch out when eating out, I am so glad that I did! The food was incredible and the service was like no other! I will 100% be coming back! We got the appetizer platter for 2 to start and it was phenomenal, totally recommend it for a variety of Greek dishes:) Our server was Jennifer, a sweet and genuine server all around, she knew her stuff and she overall made our visit the best! Support local and go here :)

This place is 100% authentic. The owners came to say hi, Chat on us and chat. (Very Greek) the food was superb. Flavourful and abundant. Truly a treat!
