Update: after THREE years nothing has changed. Still terrible service. You'd be lucky to get a bus within 20 minutes of the posted estimated time of arrival. Nevermind transfers.I'd give zero stars if I could. Burlington Transit is just shameful. Often the drivers will DRIVE PAST you, or brake late, then chide YOU for waiting and not being seen. There are a very few that are nice, but otherwise expect the grumpy bus driver to be early OR make you wait another hour for the next bus. Or if you're lucky you'll get a speeding bus driver that brakes hard, likely because he spent too much time chatting to his fellow drivers and had to drive like a mad man to make up the lost time. Frankly I don't know how this transit system is funded its service is just plain poor. It makes the TTC shine in comparison.

The bus arriving late is not a problem. It's when the bus shows up early or just full out skips the stop that is unacceptable. If it's winter you're just standing around in the cold but get no bloody warning. It's Canada, plan for it! Trying to be ready for the bus to be early is not the point, one does not want to wait in the cold! It's 2022 and Burlington is a large enough city in the GTA. There's no excuse BT should make an app instead of relying only on the website and warn travellers if a bus has come and pass. 2 stars because the drivers drive safely, so that scores points for me.

I transit all across the GTHA- Burlington is consistently low quality. Leaving late from the station, delayed times, buses just not showing up ( taking wait times from five minutes to twenty five minutes), drivers passing requested stops, limited service on weekends. Once a driver pulled over at the transit hub because she forgot her wallet, making me late. If you are taking Burlington transit, I recommend taking the bus prior to the one that would be scheduled to get you there on time. Two stars for providing a service, be it an unreliable one.

The worst transit Burlington... Buses don't show up and always late... People complains always..you never make any improvements since all the drivers and management don't care... The terrible bus... If you continue that way you loose passengers and trust of people.... So bad!!

Actually a very reliable and well managed system 99% of the time. Burlington Transit has come a very long way in 10 years, and any complaints here are a one-off instance that doesn't reflect the effectiveness of this service. And the drivers are also really nice 9/10 times.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This transit system shows 0 respect for your time. Consistently late, or doesn't show up at all. After getting in trouble at work for my bus showing up late every day, I opted to take an earlier one. And even that one only runs about half of the time.

Burlington Transit is a good transit service, they are amazing people. I myself am a transit fan and the drivers are so respectful towards me and my friends. I have had no bad experiences at all with Burlington Transit! The only thing I don't like is how they getting rid of the WONDERFUL New Flyer D40LFs.The only things I hate is seeing how 2009 New Flyer D40LF 7011-09 got retired (my personal favourite bus in the fleet and all time #1 favourite bus ever built) and now is being scrapped, in favour of Novabus LFS Diesels. The new Nova LFS Diesels are absolutely horrible. SAVE 7011-09 BURLINGTON TRANSIT!

Terrible reliability on a major route. I work on Fairview St in Burlington and ride the Route 1 home in the evening.I leave my job at 5:20PM and walk directly across the street to the stop at Fairview and Woodview Rd.The schedule states that the bus is to run at 10 minute intervals heading to Appleby Go Station. In spite of the stated schedule, I find myself as waiting 40 minutes until 6:00and at they time, 3 buses show up at the same time.Meanwhile I see 4 buses heading towards Hamilton on schedule every 10.minutes.Upon contacting customer service, I was told that it is due to traffic issues and t he at they were aware of it but couldn't (or wouldn't) do anything about it......not the best answer I was looking for. This is a disgrace. We are paying for reliable service not to be made to wait 40 minutes on a schedule that states 10 minute service. This hac been going on for weeks and, once the weather gets cold, this will be intolerable. If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would.

Such a rude driver ever. I honestly feel like he was being racist. Me and my friend was trying to catch the bus going to Hamilton it was supposed to be there on station at 11:07pm on plains at king which showed up at 11:05pm well that’s totally fine 2mins difference for us a customer. There was a boy already standing on the station and untill he steps in bus we were already there just behind him. But Rudely DRIVER SAY “WHY DON’T YOU WAIT ON STATION TO CATCH THE BUS”. It wasn’t even 15 seconds he had to wait there because we’re just behind the boy I am repeating. When Burlington buses shows up like 20 to 30 mins delay that is fine but the driver can’t wait for 15 seconds what kind of service is this.

Buses don't come on time and often just skip. You'll see a bus listed at 3:00 / 3:20 / 3:40 / 4:00 but in reality you'll get a bus at 3:07 and 3:47. It makes zero sense. Why not just reduce the services to twice an hour since they obviously cannot do every 15-20 minutes? And given the price ($3.50 as of 05/2022) this is just absurd. I've seen buses run better in third world countries. What a shame for such a beautiful city like Burlington.
