Edmonton Auroras (Artistic Swimming)

We have had the best experience with the Auroras! A caring community of coaches and families that are a huge asset to the sport. My daughter has loved her time with her team mates and they have a ton of fun.

This is the best synchro club in Edmonton, they have well organized, top programs for athlete development at Kinsmen Sports Centre, qualifying 8 swimmers for team Alberta and one onto team Canada in 2017 alone.

Reasonably talented coaches and trainers that are unfortunately undermined by the nepotism and favoritism that plages so much of amateur sports.

Our three daughters have been with this club since they could swim. Our experience with the club from pre-competitive through to national stream has been amazing. We discovered synchronized swimming because our kids love being in the water, so getting to add elements of dance and gymnastics to their training all through one club has been fantastic! We also love that they train at the Kinsmen.It has been such a positive and inclusive environment for girls where they can excel individually and on a team. They have made friends for life with their team mates.We highly recommend the Edmonton Auroras Artistic Swimming Club!

We have had a great experience with Aurora Synchro. There is a real family-feel to the club, with supportive coaches and teammates. I have been very impressed with the skill development over the years, and by the way the swimmers are encouraged without any shaming or pressure. The club worked to maintain meaningful training time throughout the pandemic, and did a great job of communicating changes to routine. I definitely recommend Aurora Synchro, and we are looking forward to many more years swimming with this club.

My daughter, 8 years old, just completed the beginner training camp last week. She loves swimming, gymnastics and dance and we wanted to try her in a sport that combines all of these sports. At first some elements of artistic swimming intimidated her. This feeling did not last long thanks to the amazing coaches and experienced swimmers that assisted and showed her what to do, and how fun it was. The pride and confidence she had coming out of pool after each day of camp was beaming off of her. She loved every moment of it! Everyone helped to make her feel at ease and showed her their love for the sport. We hope to continue this season with artistic swimming, as it is all she has talked about since camp how she can’t wait to get back in the pool. Thank you head coach Vanessa and coach Katie, plus the other swimmers that took our little girl under their wings. Such an inclusive club.

Aurora Synchro has been a wonderful experience for my daughter! She came into the program with very little experience and it didn't make a difference in terms of the positivity and support she received both from her teammates and coaches. When this curriculum had to be adjusted (like all other sports etc.) when Covid hit, they dealt with it as they could and I feel they did a fantastic job!! We are definitely returning to Aurora:)
