A wonderful place for inspiration and paint supplies. If you want to paint furniture this is the place to go. They have starter classes, the best (and most economical) paint - believe me we've tried others (The paint at Next Time Around is just awful - it takes for ever to cure and chips). The staff is super-friendly and the classes are fun, informative, and a great deal. Can't say enough great things about this place. We live in Cambridge, and we drive past few competitors just to come here because this is the best place for paint, supplies and inspiration.

Fabulous service! So friendly... Andrew brought my package right out to the car when I got there (Lockdown time) half an hour after emailing him my order. I even got a follow-up email with some tips for using the paint.

I ordered something online and it was not the right colour. They repainted the piece for me quickly and for a reasonable price. Fantastic service!

Picked up a writing desk and matching chair for a gift. Service was amazing, and there's a huge selection of original and refinished vintage finds. Great store.

I brought my mother’s dining room set to Whimsical Furnishings to be refinished from a cherry stain to a chalk painted grey. I had to follow up about 6 weeks after I dropped it off for an update and was told I could get it the following Saturday. Went to pick it up and it was all wrapped so I could get it home safely. Once home and unwrapped, it wasn’t even fully painted. The entire bottom of the table was still the cherry colour and the diamond shape cut outs on the chairs were also not completely finished. When I called I was asked to bring the entire set back and was advised it was painted in poor lighting and they didn’t realize they had missed these large areas.They had my set again for another several weeks before I brought it home once again. Our first family dinner at the table, our drinking glasses left water ring stains on the table. I tried to do some research to find out if 1) this was normal for chalk painted furniture and 2) how to remove the water stains.I read that you can use a solution of water and vinegar but I wanted to make sure before I did it so I reached out to Andrew at Whimsical (who is the person I was dealing with the entire time) several times via text, phone and email only to be ghosted with no response at all.I’m so disappointed in the lack of professionalism and response, how is this proper business etiquette? I would proceed with caution when considering the services of this company!

Andrew is an amazing business owner. His work is incredible and creative. He is always willing to give advise for those who want to chalk paint a piece of furniture themselves.
