TDS Fiber

So far I have had nothing but positive things to say about TDS. Unlike my other Internet provider which would go out on me during a storm. Very reliable service.

I have had my call dropped twice after almost an hour on hold each time in order to get a line buried. The third call produced a ticket number in which they would call back within 3 business days. No call. I spent over 2.5 hours on hold today before giving up. Do yourself a favor and stay with Spectrum if you’re in Wausau.

The Billing is horrible.They charged me for a EEros Wi-Fi even though I didn't get it. I have my own Wi-Fi setup. Simple mistake I thought. I called them and because I didn't take the device my bill wen up 20$ I asked them to explain the logic, they said that is how it goes. There is a different internet charge if I use my own equipment. I am on my 3rd month of free" internet promotion and my bills in order are 14.06 1st bill (partial month included)

Easy to start new service online. Easy to schedule an appointment online. Prompt and friendly service technician who arrived within the appointment window and completed work within 1 hour. The speed of my connection is 4X faster than my previous internet provider. Came with free ONT which is similar to modem (see photo). Came with free wall mounted installation (see photo). Did not need to rent TDS router as I was able to reuse my current Deco router. The eero brand router is the preferred TDS router option. Lost a star due to unhelpful phone help...they were not able to reschedule service nor suggest a router on the phone.

I'm a Network Engineer by trade and I can tell you that TDS is professional and efficient in their installation. Even their 300/300 service is quick (fiber is low latency) and stable.I'd take any reviews of bad service with a grain of salt. In my line of work it's almost ALWAYS the ISP (internet service provider) or the network equipment blamed for improperly configured and malfunctioning devices and websites. Not that service providers don't have issues, but issues rarely affect just one customer and usually affect hundreds/thousands... that is a LOT of potential revenue lost so they're going to mitigate/eliminate those issues quickly. The equipment that makes up an ISP backbone is also extremely resilient and unlikely to fail.Network 101: Take a deep breath, make small changes and give those changes time to take effect. Network is not instantaneous like a light switch. Your internet will be there once you figure it out.

My sister had tds. She sold me on it. Her sales rep. Told her there was a $75 finders fee for any referral both for her and me. So I signed up. I’ve had my service since last summer. My sister had called rep regularly since then and he won’t return her calls. This is false advertising. We only want what was promised a credit to our accounts.

TDS has been nothing but fast and stable since we had them installed last summer. I can't even recall it going down more than once (fiber cut, which wasn't their fault).We always had problems with the other local high speed internet provider" in the Wausau metro area (we all know who that is). Have only occasional requests for service. All have been timely & effective. Internet speed is very good.No issues with streaming. An improvement over fraudulent Spectrum service.

In an earlier review I gave them 1 star because if billing issues. I received a call today and the young lady went through my bill line by line and made corrections to my bill. My installation was 5 star and my internet is 5 star. I have no complaints.
