Hamilton Prosthetics and Orthotics (London, Ontario)

I am a new client of Hamilton Prosthetics and recently had a B/K leg prosthesis and an AFO for my other leg made there. I have been an amputee since 1979 and have lived in cities in Ontario, Manitoba and BC – so I have had experience with numerous prosthetists over these years. Additionally, I have complex needs due to a lack of sensation in my residual limb and a really challenging fit to achieve a proper alignment. I feel compelled to write this review because I am so pleased with the excellent work done – this prosthesis is one of the best fits I have ever had! The custom-made AFO is also a beautiful and comfortable fit. I worked with Shirley and the team whose skill and attention to detail, willingness to make adjustments until the fit and alignment were perfect, and the welcoming and friendly atmosphere made this a truly wonderful experience. I highly recommend Hamilton Prosthetics – a family-run business with people who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best outcome!

I lost my leg 3½ years ago because of a blood clot. I've worked with Hamilton Prosthetics right from the beginning and their knowledge, professionalism and care has made my experience with getting a prosthetic leg so much easier. They've been there to help me so many times through the entire journey - with tricky fittings, technical support, urgent help when my pin got stuck, everything. I really couldn't have asked for a better team to support me. If you're going through a battle with limb loss, they're the ones you want on your front line, trust me. They literally helped me get back on my feet.

My Partner had an Emergency Amputation. In rehab we met Shirley from Hamilton Prosthetics. This Company is more like a family than a business. Anything you need they are there and very experienced. Joe and Mom Doris are a blast. Shirley is at Rehab at least twice a week to ensure adjustments and proper function is maintained. Very happy with the prosthetic and more impressed with service.

For the past 2 years I've dealt with ongoing sores and debilitating pain. Having dealt with 2 Prosthetists in the past I just thought that’s the way it was. Thankfully, I paid a visit to Hamilton Prosthetics. I was so impressed by the amount of time, effort and attention to detail they spent on helping resolve my issues. Within 2 weeks of getting my check socket, the sores were completely healed and I was able to walk without pain. My quality of life has never been better. I can’t begin to express my thanks and gratitude and highly recommend anyone who is experiencing issues to pay them a visit.

Hamilton Prosthetics has the best and most prompt service any amputee could ask for! They offered me the most up to date prosthetic designs component choices and materials. I have never received this level of service at any of the other prosthetic suppliers I have been to. I am a young active man, I wear my leg for 14 hours a day and have never had any issues with the fit or function of the leg since seeing Shirley. The whole team is always friendly and empathetic with addressing my concerns and scheduling demands.I highly recommend anyone who is a new amputee , or has had fit issues to give them a call .

I cannot say enough about the quality of care and support you receive here. Shirley and her whole team are fantastic, they make you feel like you are family and want the best care for you. I was sent here by my Orthopedic specialist and it was the best move on his part. I’m now in my new foot braces and i almost cried i seen myself walk straight for the first time in my life. Great service! It was my first time here, they were accommodating and doctor was on time as scheduled. They value your time, I was in and out in less than 30 mins. I really appreciate their time taken for filling my insurance claim during this unprecedented times. I'm happy with the product.

My wife has been an amputee since Oct. 2018 and she was lucky enough to meet Shirley at the Parkwood Institute for her first leg. Every experience with the entire team from Hamilton Prosthetics has been fantastic. They take so much time and care to make sure your leg fits properly with no pain. After years of chronic knee and foot pain, I was referred to see Shirley At Hamilton Prosthetics and Orthotics. The assessment was thorough and informative. Shirley was able to answer any questions I asked, and was able to figure out why I was in so much discomfort.
