Las Palmeras
We’ve come here a few times and it’s a great little place, I like the vibes and authentic Mexican feel. This time we had a beef burrito, shrimp quesadilla, tacos carnitas, shrimp, guacamole and deep fried ice cream. The burrito wasn’t the best. The shrimp quesadilla was quite good but could use a bit more flavour. The tacos carnitas: we were expecting more of a shredded pork but it was thick cut pieces but it did have good flavour. The guacamole was very delicious, definitely my favourite part of the meal. The deep fried ice cream wasn’t very good, the outside tasted stale. Overall a decent Mexican food experience.

The food was 'meh. Too far from the border to be good Mexican I guess. The ribs and chicken with beans were decent if not fairly good. The service staff was nice, but didn't want to seat us outside even though there were plenty of tables.

We had a queso pupusas. I wished that the queso would have been more chewier rather than watery. But overall, with the salsa and shredded cabbage salad, it was amazing!

The restaurant was cute and the customer service was great, but the food was severely under seasoned. The guacamole desperately needed lime, the charred salmon was so dry and unseasoned, and the tacos came with no herbs or onions or hot sauce? There was no hot sauce on the table and we weren't offered any. The nachos were just shredded cheese and no vegetables or other toppings besides like 6 jalapenos for $20. I don't recommend this restaurant if you're a person who prefers their food much more flavorful, and overall the prices were extremely high for the quality of food.

Best place for Mexican food, hands down. The fresh corn tortillas are out of this world. If you've been yearning for a vacation to Mexico and need a little relief, this is the place to go. I try to stop by any time I'm in Red Deer.

We come here every year for a friend's birthday. The food is delicious and the seasonal drinks are amazing and very generously sized. My only complaint is: I tried the beef fajitas and they were so good that I can't bring myself to try anything else on the menu! I only want the fajitas when I go there.

I don’t usually get Mexican food in Canada, but this is as good as the best Mexican places I’ve had stateside.Also their hot sauce is nice!
