Rolco Shutters

I had Rolco security shutters installed on my restaurant last year. I am very happy with the product and the discrete look when they are retracted.The service has been great for the odd thing in past but the emergency service this weekend saved my bacon. We damaged our shutters Saturday at end of day and panicked as one of our busiest days of the year (Mothers day) was happening the next morning. I called the emergency number and was amazed that we had a tech on premises getting us back in order by 9am Sunday morning . Great job Rolco! Great service!

The team at Rolco were super quick to respond when I had an emergency with my shutters not closing. I was able to call the emergency line and was treated with kindness and respect and the after hours repairman Ethan was wonderful and explained then fixed the issue quickly. Everyone I have dealt with at Rolco has treated me like family and I know I am in good hands if anything happens.

They arrived on time to remove the shutters so that new windows could be installed. The crew was professional and polite. They returned a few days later as scheduled and re installed the shutters. The crew once again did an excellent job. Dealing with Rollco was a very positive experience and I would recommend them to everyone I know. I am happy with the installation of the shutters. They block out lots of light which was the main reason for the install. The installers did a good job. Based on our specific house, there are a few installs that need monitoring for continued functionality but I have been assured that if there is an issue, they will rectify it. It is noted on my file.However, scheduling and communication was bad. Rolco rarely initiated communication about changes to estimated timeframes. I was left to call at the end of the previously given timeframe only to find out that there was a delay. This happen multiple times. That was frustrating. I was told that these delays were due to supply chain issues but that wouldn't explain the lack of communication.

One of our shutter pulleys needed replacing and the folks at Rolco were quick to squeeze us in for a service call within 3 days.The two service technicians, Andrew & Ethan, were very friendly, courteous and remarkably accommodating. Our Christmas decorations were directly impeding their access for the repair but they politely worked around the hanging lights and were done before we knew it! 5/5 for Andrew & Ethan for sure!

We selected shutters as part of our passive house project and found Rolco Shutters in the process. Richard and his team are a great local Alberta company who manufactured and installed a great product. We found the shutters increased the thermal efficiency of our windows (more insulation, higher R value). The team at Rolco made it easy, through the whole process. From initial sales contact to installation they were clear in what we could expect and delivered as promised. We would highly recommend them.

My experience from the jump was wonderful. They were able to schedule a repair appointment right the next day! The technician Ethan and he was fabulous! He was so respectful of my stress, kind, friendly, knowledgeable and so efficient. He reassured me that everything would be ok and that meant a lot to me as this repair worried me -I didn’t know what I was in for (a sudden broken garage door!)Thank goodness he told me it would be a quick fix and it was. I am so relieved and happy. If you need repairs or information, this is the company for you. I had this Rolco door installed at least 100 years ago ;) and it’s still working! It was just the straps that needed to be screwed on again so that it rolled up and down. It truly was a simple fix. It’s quite amazing at that this product has lasted so long and continues to do so. I’d never had an issue before. Rolco is your place to shop! Their products are of high standards and quality that last forever. Plus the great customer service and care rounds it all out! I was really excited to get these as I have seen them. But after trying to request a price range and terrible communication and people skills trying to get an approx price range finally gave up. They made it feel like they are sleazy salesmen and don’t care at all about their customers. For that reason I gave up on them. If they aren’t able to support potential customers questions then there is no chance they will be good at supporting service calls.
