Mount Peyton Resort & Conference Centre

Room was very outdated and didn't feel clean. The chalking around the tub was black and my child wouldn't even get in it. Curtains were not big enough for the window, so we had to place a blanket in the window (which had a big hole in the middle). Also the the cable in the room was just basic standard definition, which made watching the hockey game really hard.

Very poor customer service. Nothing was clear with our group on how to check in and pay. The day shift and night shift told us completely different things. They could all use some communication and customer service training.

Sadly, customer loyalty and repeat customer service are not a priority at this establishment. Restaurant staff refused to accommodate my parents (party of 2) and my last minute dining request. After YEARS and weekly dinners and lunches which included extremely generous tips at the end of each- disappointing service indeed.

The staff were absolutely terrific, but the unit itself was just dated. I liked the location and I’m glad I chose an efficiency unit, I spent a lot of my time out on the little concrete patio in the lawn chair or relaxing on the couch here compared to other places I’ve stayed. The units definitely had a “cabin” feel but I didn’t mind that. Just something to be aware of if that’s a deal breaker and you’re looking for something modern

Calling it a resort feels like a stretch. The interior feels a little dated, but otherwise no real problems.

The front desk staff were incredibly rude to my husband. He was standing in front of her and she couldn’t be bothered to look up or say that she’d be with him shortly. She completely ignored him and continued talking with other staff. After a few minutes my husband spoke to her to get her attention and she rudely said “yeah I’ll be with you in a second” without even looking at him. She was better with me but still unpleasant. She shouldn’t be working in hospitality if it’s so hard to crack a smile. We had travelled 13 hours to get there and we were greeted with a grump.The hotel itself looks like a run down apartment complex from the outside. The lobby has been nicely renovated but some of that money should have gone to the rooms. There’s no smoking in the rooms, but they still smell of cigarettes from twenty years ago. The room was clean, albeit dated. And what is with the toilets being so low to the floor? My husband is almost 6 feet tall and he nearly fell over trying to sit on it. Avoid this place if you want higher quality accommodations and friendly staff.

It's very high priced for what you get. Very outdated. Air conditioning didn't work, so the room was a sauna. Wafer thin pillows. Blocked solid with sports teams, so all we could hear was dozens of young kids running wild up and down in the halls. We heard many people complain. The only positive thing was the staff.

Great place to stay while traveling around Newfoundland. Right off the highway in Grand Falls-Windsor, close to everything you could need during your trip. The rooms are spacious, and clean.
