Dr. Patel Gastrologist

It was very hard for ny family and i to be in north york general hospital after my brother passed away there few years back so we were very terrified for my mother to have her stones removed from the galbladder duct. Dr Patel did the appropriate tests to make sure my mother will be safe in there. He was very patient and understanding. His nurses and staff were wonderful. They made everything as easy as possible.

Very happy with Dr. Patel and the other medical staff who support him. Everyone was very helpful and super friendly at North York General. I would highly recommend Dr. Patel and the team there. Thank you!!

I wanted to thank so much Dr. Vishal Patel for taking care of me at the NYGH! I was completely terrified to have the colonoscopy, which I have to repeat every 5 years due to my family history. Last time I had it done (at St. Michael’s Hospital with a different doctor), I woke up in the middle of the procedure in extreme pain, so I was very anxious to have it done again.Dr. Patel was so understanding, professional and friendly! I did not feel a thing, went to sleep and woke up in a different room after everything was done. Explained everything to me, so I can understand. I want to thank Dr. Patel for quickly diagnosing and correcting my mother's botched gallbladder removal finding a sizable stone missed in the initial surgery. During the entire process, he was very attentative and meticulous with our situation gathering everything about my mother's surgery and arranging the ercp quickly. He was very patient in explaining the possible remedies to my mother and I and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole process. He ended a months worth of suffering for my mother in an instant and my family and I can't thank him enough. Again thank you Dr Patel.

I had my colonoscopy at North York General and I wanted to thank you very much Dr Patel, and his medical, nurse's stuff for a smooth process and great experience. He is a great doctor who is compassionate, sincere, kind, friendly, knowledgeable and he has excellent bedside manner. He is a caring person and always goes the extra mile to help you. I asked him about my flank side pain and also a finding on my gallbladder in the last CT scan that I had done at hospital. He told me to go through the process and not to worried and asked my family doctor to refer me to him so he could help. Moreover, I asked him about my wife if she needed a colonoscopy.... he said your very welcome and we will make sure that she gets helped....thank you, thank you so much!!!! His staff are also exceptionally helpful and all the nurses and the other medical staff who support him where very helpful, calm, friendly and ensuring that I was not scared and the colonoscopy will be smooth and everything will be great.
