Our initial staircase was designed poorly by our designer (not R & K Woodworking), making it impossible to build an up-to-code staircase within the exisiting staricase opening. Kevin was able to work with us to resolve the staircase issue that another 3 contractors and a designer couldn't solve. Kevin took the time to fully understand our issue and provided innovative solutions to make a staircase fit into our existing space. Kevin was very responsive throughout our entire process, and I would highly recommend R&K Woodworking to anyone else.

We didn’t start our staircase renovation with R&K, but we are so happy to have found them. Very professional, tried to find cost savings using the items we had purchased from initial contractor. Completed job on time and on budget, and Chris who installed the railing did an absolutely outstanding job. His work is painstaking and impeccable! The quote process is slow and waiting for an appointment was long, but understandable since they are specialists and in high demand.

Kevin and his team (Chris who installs and Tom who produces the stairs, balusters, railings) is THE BEST stair company in Ontario. They also have an amazing display of wood balusters if you want to have a traditional look. I am extremely detailed oriented and would not deal with any other place. It's a family run business and they care about their customers and ensuring they are happy with the end result. It's worth the drive to Scarborough. 10 thumbs up.

If I had to do stairs in another house in the future, I'd hire Ryan without a doubt. Ryan is not only amazing at what he does, he shows up when he says he will and was so respectful of our home. His attention to detail is impeccable and you can be sure that he will treat the job as if it was being done in his own home. Ryan replaced our basement stairs and we couldn't have been happier with his work. My husband is fairly picky being a handyman himself and even he had nothing but good things to say. Ryan, thank you so much for your hard work. We are very happy with the end result and will definitely refer you to others.
