Surrey Memorial Hospital Emergency Room

Excellent staff and hospital and care. As a HCP, I am more than impressed with the Staff and care recieved at Surrey Memorial Hospital and Fraser Health. Look forward to working at this hospital in the near future!

One star is too much for this emergency room. I have been waiting for 16 hours to get the patient to visit a doctor. The doctor didn't give any medication for the pain. The doctor referred us to a specialist who is not answering their phone (their office is closed). We have been waiting for the specialist for 70 days and they didn't call us back or answered our phone. We visited the ER again and asked the doctor to refer us to another specialist, but the doctor didn't do it because they know the specialist (Dr. Janakie Singham) and the specialist is their friend working the hospital. This is a friendship business. They don't care about patients having pain all these times. I don't know if the authorities are watching this corruption???

Called ambulance.They were very helpful but little too slow and awfully crowded on Emergency RoomIt’s been over 7 hrs and I’m still waiting to see a Doctor. Government should hire more health care workers instead giving money to their oligarch friends!

Emergency is just the disguised name, it’s actually 24/7 walk in clinic and nobody cares how urgent you need assistance. Welcome to 8-10 hours waiting clinic.

I have been denied help because they are rude and discriminatory I had a k8ddneyinf2ction and they kept denying me help ! Long story short it almost killed me and my blood work from start to finish never lied and neither did I DNA doesn't lie.

I am very happy with the service at pediatric emergency and ward. In my course of treatment over 3 days, I may have interacted with about 15 people including nurses, doctors and respiratory therapists and all of them are courteous, went over and above what is required to make patients comfortable. Thank you for your outstanding service. Keep up the good work. God bless.

I don’t wanna give one star to paediatric emergency.I have waited there for 8 hours. After all this wait then doctor saw my daughter . He is prescribed wrong dose of medicine thats Dr G in emergency. After all this wait I didn’t get medicine .Worst experience.

I think it's a moral dilemma to give a proper rating to this place. On the one hand, the wait times are abhorrent. But at the same time, when everyone is coming here with an emergency, it's expected there is going to be a lot of people and a long wait. I am aware that everyone working here is working under pressure and doing as much as they can. I can't fault the people working here, but I also haven't had a good experience here either.

You're better off dying than going to this emergency, cos you will be dead before you are treated. Took over 10 hours to see a doctor, in emergency! Terrible place

The worst emerg in all of BC, countless times of waiting for 4 to 5 hours and useless doctors, on top of that my most recent visit they didn't let me go in with my girlfriend and made me wait outside for 4 hours because there's a 1 guest limit??? I saw multiple people with more then 1 guest and this nurse singled me out and even went as far to escort me?? Even though I was standing and not using a seat. Completely discriminatory and absolutely shameful behavior.
