I recently had the pleasure of dining at chop steak house & bar and I must say that the food and service were both excellent. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and the staff was friendly and attentive.The menu had a great selection of steaks, from ribeye to filet mignon, as well as other entrees such as seafoods. I opted for the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. The steak was juicy and flavorful, and the sides of wild rice and grilled vegetables were also delicious.The service was top-notch. Our server, Simone was knowledgeable and helpful in recommending dishes and drinks. She was also very attentive and made sure that our drinks were refilled and that our food was served hot.Overall, I had a great experience at chop steak house & bar in downtown location. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great steak dinner

This place has been a local favourite for years!! Always great food and service... they really go above and beyond! The bar side is fantastic and a great place to just just hang out or watch the game. The restaurant side is perfect for lunch meetings or dinners. And, the private room is perfect for receptions, meetings and meals.

We came for downtown dining week at 6:45 pm on a Sunday, and unfortunately they were completely out of prime rib, so we ordered the top sirloin instead. We waited quite a long time for our steaks as they accidentally gave it to another table and had to make it again. The manager apologized and was able to compensate us free prime rib for another time, which was much appreciated.For $35, you get a salad, main, and dessert, which is a pretty good value. I felt the artisan salad needed more dressing but everything else was done very well.

Convention time. Full restaurant. Despite that, Rochelle H was our super attentive server. She patiently waited for 5 indecisive people to decide on drinks - even offering a taster of wine to prove it was a good choice to order 2 glasses. A brilliant pairing with the steak we ordered. For beef lovers - you will not be disappointed. For those that love service done right, this is the place! Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing food, along with great service!! We had a sirloin steak with seafood and a prime rib dinner that was unequalled! We met Rochelle, the senior assistant manager and she was pleasant, professional and she ensured that our needs were met. The Caesar salad here is our absolute fave . We will be back soon, - great place before a game. Always a good price and the food is excellent! Great take out dinner options as well.

Emalucate service from start to finish with every single staff member.We were provided with a 6 seater comfortable booth and very large dining table for 2 of us.I couldnt believe that the wait staff would have to climb up and down a very steep flight of stairs carrying our meals to and from the kitchen from the second floor.The ceiling height of the restaurant was incredibly high.We ordered several dishes including a prime rib and it was fantastic!We usually would go to The Keg for prime rib but The Chop House is now our new found favorite restaurant for this type of meal and we will definitely check it out in Vancouver.We tried breakfast early the next day and was so large we ended up sharing a the parfait and the 2 pouched eggs with bacon meal.Excellent value and good quality. If you are staying in the hotel this is a Must Try the steak " you won't be disappointed!"

Went here for a holiday dinner & my expectations weren't the greatest but it blew me out of the water! I'd say it's pretty on par with the keg the only thing being is I heard their famous for their charred steaks when honestly my boyfriend and I agreed it would've been just as good or better without it. I loved my meal, I had the Steak Oscar and it was delicious!! The sauce was to die for and it was cooked perfectly. The service was great & I thoroughly enjoyed my drinks. Thank you for an amazing night chop, we'll definitely be back!!!

The food is a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. Everything I had here was really good! All of our servers were friendly and attentive as well. This is a great place to stop by if you're staying at the Sandman hotel.
