I honestly can’t say enough about Yana. She’s kind, honest and extremely knowledgeable. My three young boys and I waited about six months for our kitten and she was there throughout the waiting process to answer all of my questions. During my wait my circumstances changed and I landed a job where I would be away from home 24 hours at a time a few times a month. I called Yana and asked her to put me back on the list for another kitten. She had a better idea. When I say she knows her cats I’m not kidding. She suggested I take a retiree as Bella was already bonded with my Barmaley. So I brought the two of them home and they are the most loving, affectionate cats I’ve ever been around. They play together, they snuggle each other, they groom each other and they are absolutely attached at the hip. They are incredibly playful and happy. Seeing them together brings me so much joy and gratitude that I was able to keep them together. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I only wish I could give you 10 stars on here.

We love our little kitty and are very pleased with our experience. Cannot wait to get another! Yana takes great care with her kittens, medically and socially. A healthy and well socialised kitten is what we received and love him. Yana is very organised and professional.

I was hesitant to post this because negativity is never nice, but in the same vein as the previous reviewer our experience with Yana was just that - negative. To not share would be a disservice to others who are potentially looking to purchase a kitten from her. We were initially uncertain about moving forward with a breeder based on a kitten that was not yet born, but we thought we did our research, and Yana told us what we wanted to hear. We were advised we would be sixth on her waiting list (this was April 2020), and looking at 6-9 months, although it could be longer if we wanted a specific colour. Upon putting a non refundable deposit down for a kitten at $2000, we didn’t hear from Yana whatsoever, until a few months later when she offered a kitten at $3500. This made no sense, given we were very clear on our budget during our discussion. Many more months passed, and many more than six kittens were born. When we reached out to inquire where we were at on the list, and if we would be welcoming our kitten soon, her reply was quite abrupt, bordering on rude. To tell me she could not control the number of kittens a cat had like this was information I did not know came across as condescending and is an insult to my intelligence. More weeks passed, with more kittens being born and nothing from Yana. We reached out again at around the six month mark and again asked where things were at. We were told many prior owners had now come back to her requesting kittens, so we would have to continue to wait as they were prioritized. We felt this was not something fully disclosed at the onset and requested our deposit back to pursue other options. Yana refused and advised she could get us a kitten from overseas, which is not what we signed up for. We continued to wait and heard back around the nine month mark, at which point over 22 kittens had been born. We had to pass on a kitten at that time due to a home renovation which would not have been conducive to bring a new kitten into. We understood we could pass and wait for the next litter. The next email we received from Yana was a mass email indicating her prices for a standard kitten had increased to $2800 - a mark up of approximately 40%, purportedly due to high food and vet costs as a result of Covid. I strongly suspect it is more a matter of simple supply and demand. Why would someone sell a kitten to someone for $2000 when the next person is willing to pay $2800? Our option was either to pay the increased cost or get our deposit back. Needless to say we did not move forward. In all, a very disappointing experience. Please go into putting a deposit for an unborn kitten with your eyes open - you are at the mercy of the breeder.***As Yana seems to do with those who do not agree with her version of events, I will wait for her comments as to why my recollection is inaccurate and therefore invalid (despite having all of the above in writing)***

Wonderful kitten! Yana really knows her cats and kittens and cares for them any their new parents as if they were members of her own family. Yana is responsive, transparent and willing to answer every new kitten owner's question in detail and with patience. Our little Mouse is healthy, happy, well-adjusted and so much fun! We can't thank Yana enough for her expertise and care!

We just welcomed our little girl home from Royal devons. Our whole experience from the beginning of the interview to picking up our kitten has been very positive. Yana took the time during our interview to answer all our questions, concerns and general information regarding the breed. Yana was very transparent regarding pricing and wait time for our kitten. Joy is very healthy, social and super affectionate. Thank you so much Yana for making our sons dream come true! We will definitely be coming back for another one in a year! We highly recommend Yana, she truly loves her cats and it shows.

Royal Devon’s was amazing. Yana was supportive and kind through the whole process of getting our new kitten. I especially loved how thorough she was interviewing us as a potential family, she clearly cares about her cats and wants only what’s best for them.Our new baby is the most perfect fit for our family! She’s cute, friendly, fun, and healthy. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a Devon that this is the Cattery for you!

One of the top catteries in Canada! Our family had a great experience with Royal Devins. The honesty and knowledge of the breeder (Yana) was beyond our expectations. We were supposed through the whole process of adoption and what’s more important after! Yana was available for us literally 24/7. Our baby girl is healthy and happy kitten who became a great addition to our big family.

I am so in love with my kitten. His personality is adorable, very affectionate, and such a good boy. He slept the car ride when I picked him up and he even played fetch with me on his second night home. Yana was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and available to answer questions at any time. I would encourage anyone who brings home one of Yana's kittens to lean on her when needed.Yana was referred to me by a friend who told me a Devon will change your life. She was right. My little Prince Charming Oliver exceeded my dreams and I couldn't be happier.
