Food 10/10Waiting for service 5/10We’ve only gone a couple times, twice sit down and once take out.Notice it can get busy and at times no rhyme or reason to their routine.Tonight we waited almost five minutes till we were acknowledged. It was busy, but someone should be at the front. Took another 15 minutes to get a table cleaned and sat.Another 10 minutes to place our order.Overall the food is awesome, but service is not 100%We will be back and hope they can work through the kinks and get some help during the dinner rushes.

The house roll is wonderful, big chunks of salmon with a very affordable price. The spider roll had deep fried soft shell crab in it, but it isn’t very good, compared to it’s price. The crazy tuna roll was crispy on the outside and the sauce was very tasty, but the tuna inside is cook so just keep that in mind. The vegetable tempura was too large for two people. Overall, this is a great restaurant, looking forward to try the two no rice sushi roll they have.

I'm an emerging sushi enthusiast, in large part thanks to the Shinobi's takeout location which I've found to be excellent. This was my first venture into the downtown location and I had heard several favorable reports about it. I was not let down by any means. The atmosphere was slightly loud, but everything else was fantastic. I and my partner found a new favorite roll, the name of which escapes me as I write this. Overall the food was great, just as I anticipated. The service was prompt and friendly and had a nice air of professionalism that I quite like.Prices seem reasonable, curbside parking was available nearby.

Best Japanese food in town on 224th Street! All the staff there are always so kind to us. We do receive good service attention 240th Street location, but we've been patrons of 224th for quite some time. We were so happy when they were finally able to reopen.

Shinobi Sushi Japanese Restaurant
Excellent sushi-sashimi restaurant, the food is fresh and delicious, lots of options to choose and service is excellent. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended to try it out when you are in Maple Ridge and not sure what's the great place for sushi.

I had the chirashi Don, it was fantastic. My wife had the chicken donburi, it was very dry and bland. The server brought our bill without us asking, and seemed annoyed when we requested another round of drinks. They clearly don't want people staying long.

This was highly recommended by my friend who lives in Maple Ridge. We were at the area and decided to give it a try. We had the sushi combo A and B and Tonkatsu.. we will definitely come back in this place..

Fun, vibrant place for a night out with great food at reasonable prices!! Loved the Creamy Prawns and Crab Green Salad on our last visit. Every one of their creative rolls we've ever had has been delicious. My favorite Sushi place ever, and I've been eating real sushi since the mid-80s!! Staff are super-efficient and personable, especially Soo, Christine, and Jennifer!!

Ordered a seafood salad. It was loaded with sashimi, scollops, two thick juicy octopus. Instead of two slices of regular salmon sashimi, they charred the salmon and seasoned it with a special cumin like seasoning. The in house salad dressing has a hint of ginger, lemon and dill, taste very refreshing. The tuna was also seared and seasoned with black pepper. Topped with crab meat and fish roe. The seafood salad was definitely a 5 star. Service on the other hand can be improved. There were 3 servers and a total of 12 tables, but the teas weren’t served and high chair wasn’t offered until we asked half way into our meal. The music also did not complement the great food. Instead, it feels like at a club with heavy dance music. I think with a little improvement, this place would be a great hit!! Hopefully I can upgrade my review to 5 stars next time I visit.
