Holiday Inn Oakville (Centre), an IHG Hotel

Giving them a very generous 2 starsRooms ***Service **Location *****My out of town relatives stayed here while visiting us for the long weekend. Booked mainly because it was close to us. Expected more from a Holiday Inn and had I known it would be just ok I would have suggested they stay at a nearby motel for the same service for far less $$. Rooms are clean. Water pressure poor in showers, bath tubs were slippery (anti-slip grips worn down and not replaced), no in room safes, they can’t bother to clean up used towels and bring new ones into the exercise room so you have to go ask for a towel at front desk, and service was indifferent at best. It was a place to crash but not the best for my family who had booked 2 rooms. I expected more from a Holiday Inn, or I expected too much it would seem.

Pool was TRASHED with broken plastic bowls everywhere and bandaids in and out of the water, there was also food lying in spots. The plastic bowls had sharp edges and people, especially kids, could’ve easily gotten injured. The front desk had some nice people, but there were still a few people that seemed like they didn’t care much about the customers stay and just didn’t seem that enthusiastic in general.
