I switched over to Pet Valu Waterdown during Covid although it is closer I used the larger in town pet food supplier , I found it difficult to get food there so tried PV Waterdown and it is my go to store now . I found the manager there Cathy very approachable and professional .She is interested in my pets and showed compassion when I lost one of my fur babies recently.

This place is so RIDICULOUSLY over priced, that I actually felt obligated to write a review of warning on here!!Went to purchase a harness & stake for my cat to be able to run around outside. Harness was $20.99 and stake was $19.99.Walked to Global Pet Foods which is literally 10 minutes walk down the street... same harness and stake were $11.99 each... and one further, the dollar store in the same plaza had the exact same stake for $3.So to summarize, Pet Valu wanted to charge me about $41.00 before taxes for the exact same things I bought a 10 minute walk down the street for about $15.00 before taxes.Highway robbery! Will never step foot in there again!!

The sales lady was very kind and went out of her way to get the product my mom needed for her cat. She advised a call ahead next time will secure the product is in stock. Very clean store.

Ectreamly rude and useless manager knows absolutely nothing about dogs or cats and is constantly trying to get you to buy things you don't need. Trying to put items into your purchase to get more money is sickening untill you literally have to tell her to stop and leave the store miserable.

Although it is a small store they carry a good variety of pet needs. I have been Pet Value cat" customer for few years

Trained there for about 25 hours, was expected to learn everything about register and how to stock before going on my own BUT because I refused to work 11 hours without a break and said that not being paid on time is unacceptable ,which by the way I wasn't paid on time. Payday was Friday, its now Saturday still no pay. Reason for being let go, owners son is going to work there. Right!!

Went to Petvalu a couple of weeks ago to get help for my dog. The older lady that helped was incredible. If it wasn’t for her it would have cost me a lot of money at the vets. I will definitely stay a customer.

The older woman who works here (owns?) is not friendly to me. She made me feel bad about returning a product once. Wouldn't offer to order me a food just kept telling me it was discontinued (global orders it for me by the case every month) Today I went in & all 3 employees weren't wearing masks. One sure, but all 3?? I want to shop local but this store disappoints me again and again.

I have been a customer for a very long time buying my food there for my dog. My dog gets so excited to go there and get her treat when we are out for a walk. Today the girl working who was in the back when we arrived said sorry we can’t give your dog a treat unless you buy something. I was unaware of this new policy and had no cash on me. The cashier had no remorse whatsoever and my dog was very upset. I will no longer be by my food there.Ps the treat they give out is bite size. Really no treat! Ridiculous
