do not do any banking at this branch , nor any types of mortgages or investments. Very slow and due to this i was not able to purchase a home because of the lack of communications . stay away

This review is more towards the Coast Capital mortgage department - and the staff at the branch were actually fairly decent and helpful. Now to my mortgage story: I was pre-approved for my mortgage back in FEB for a new condo but unfortunately it was delayed in completion and my pre-approval was expired at the end of April. I went back for a formal application in May as I was notified that my condo will finish at the end of May. I sent in all of the requested documents in the first week of May. For the next 3 weeks Coast Capital kept on asking me for prove of ALL of my money coming in and out, big and small, without realize that THEY HAVE PRE-APPROVED MY MORTGAGE and that i have a deadline of May 31. Finally, on May 25, I was so fed up that I told them that if they won't approve, I'm walking because I cannot afford to wait anymore - you guys pre-approved me, and now you want me to provide all these extra prove of money for all amounts, under this tight deadline, forcing me to panic and look elsewhere. How can you guys be SO insensitive in the timing of things? WHY DIDNT YOU ASK FOR THESE DURING THE PRE_APPROVAL? Why make me scramble at the end and making my life miserable for your own lack of due diligence during the pre approval? Anyways

Went to withdraw money 2 days before my rent is due. The bank had no money. Only ATM was available with a $400 max withdraw per day. What the hell is a bank with no cash ? Why am i paying monthly fees when your tech is broken ? Am i suppose to trust you with my RRSP account ? Very disappointed.

These people are terrible. I was promised no fees. They charged fees. They said I’m a member but what good is that because they are rude anyway. Do not trust them they are just as rude and terrible as regular banks.

i am sharing my experience with coast capital on 84 and 120 couple of weeks back. i was charged with pre-authorized dishonour fine and when i went in and enquired abt funds availability Mr.Harsh not only educated me on funds hold issue but also helped me by raising this issue with higher ups ro reduce my liability. great customer service and appreciate knowledge he has about the work being done. thanks Harsh.

Horrible. Only reason for 2 stars is the manager is doing the best with what she has to work with. Treated like a number for the most part. Unfortunately your great new manager can not win me back by herself. Low staffing numbers on busy times and lenders treating long time customers like numbers. I have complained multiple times to several people with no changes. I have moved my mortgage and will be closing all my accounts over the next year.

Worst bank I've ever used in my life terrible costumer service in person and on the phone freezing accounts holding checks without my knowledge the teller claimed there was an available balance after deposit even wrote it on the receipt went shopping and was left standing at the till with nothing but a non-sufficient funds notice embarrassing af also dirty and needles everywhere my advice would be to steer clear and go anywhere else.

On March 16. I brought 4 100 dollar bills, to depost 300 and break one into 5 20's. I gave the teller the bills and my membership card. The teller brought my account up on her screen, then excused her self and went in to one of the offices and was in their for 4 to 5 minutes talking to the person in the office. I was thinking are the bills counterfeit is their something wrong with my accounts. I had allready waited 5 minutes in the line up and was going to another appointment. I also felt embarrassed as their were other people in line and made me feel as if I was doing something wrong. When the teller returned I asked her what the problem was, she replyed did I know I had term deposts comming up for renewal. Yes I do, you have people that already deal with term deposts this teller should concentrate on her own job as she deposted the money in the wrong account not the one I requested. I am not happy the way I was treated, if you are going to treat your members in a predatory way.We will be looking at another places to invest our money,where we are treated with more respect. We have been members for quite a few year and have all our savings in your credit uinion. When I come in to do some banking I want you to deal with me as efficiently as you can as I have more important things to do than be waiting around well your teller is off trying to score points with somebody in your bank.

The bank is fine I guess. The person monitoring the parking who so rudely told me to leave on the other hand was less satisfactory. When I asked him for his name and who his employer was he refused and said he works for himself. He had no identification other than a orange vest. I was waiting to go in to open an account with my mother in law she just happend to have to get blood work done first so we parked and she went In. The so called parking attendant found it Necessary to come knock on my window and told me to leave or I’d get a parking ticket for 75 dollars. Very unsettling being that he wouldn’t identify himself.
