Metcalfe Gardens Retirement Residence
Came In to work here through an agency, first time was okay but my second shift I had to leave an hour in due to personal issues out of my control. As I’m leaving the female psw who is employed by this place starts yelling at me in front of other staff and residents in the lobby about how I’m leaving and to just go. It was humiliating! I will never go back there to work now. For anyone to think that’s okay to act like that towards someone, and especially in their place of employment in front of others is beyond me.

I can’t comment about their services but they are very unresponsive to general inquiries. I sent a few messages asking about job postings online which appeared suspicious and asked if the postings were legit. Sent email to manager - no response. Finally heard back 9 days later that the positions were filled. I hope they treat their employees better than they do potentials.

I am a resident of Metcalfe. Gardens and when I heard that were to be in lock down and I couldn't share xmas , New Years with my family I was very upset. I finally realizedi it was fo my own good. Tthe staff at Metcalfe certainly stepped up to the plate and provided us with a wonderful xmas dinner and New Years party . where we had hats and noise makers.. My thanks to the wonderful staff at Metcalfe . Barbara Jones

My grandma absolutely loves living here and has been able to make many new friends. There are various activities and programs that the home offers that my grandma enjoys.

Staff are phenomenal, but management leaves much to be desired. Constant reports of active neglect and abuse by a new dietary manager were completely disregarded and residents are in danger or dying. DO NOT leave your loved ones to the mercy of the management in this home.
