ACV Auctions

Beware before you do business with ACV. They have fell off from protecting buyers big time. We have a truck with other 13k needed in rapairs. They are not willing to unwind or give a fair arbitration. They are also not honoring condition reports. We have a truck with major gash and rust on it no photos and they are not willing to do anything about it. We also had a vehicle with 8k in back fees and they won’t do anything about it either. We have not always had arb go our way but we understand and are fair. What they are doing now is robbery and they don’t care.100% do not use acv they are going to make you loose thousands and thousands of dollars. I guess if you have a bad car it’s a great place to sell.

Jason in arbitration is the sneakiest man alive. Closed my arbitration without letting me know and trying to tell me he represents ACV and he don’t need my permission to do anything. When I asked for written policy so I know for next time he hang up on me and when I’m call back making sure we got disconnected. He placed me on hold for 20 mins. Then never heard from him. I been working only with this auction and it’s Great auction to get cars from but I might have to look for back ups. Just so when they get worse on their unwritten policy, it won’t hurt my business.

ACV is an amazing company. My rep Tyler and others within the company always work the deals. Whereas other auctions like backlot cant even close a deal if its 100 dollars apart. Acv is not just one sided. I feel as though they work for the buyer just as they do the seller. Ive only had to arbitrate once and was very happy with the outcome. I think a lot of these bad reviews stem from people overpaying and not wanting to assume any risk when buying a car.

ACV is a dumping grounds for vehicles with underlying issues. I do not recommend doing business with this “auction.” If you have any issues they are guaranteed to be swept under some corporate rug. My issues have been “escalated” too many times to count and at each new level the ACV rep seemed to have zero info from their colleagues coming into the conversation. Everything is good so long as it is good. However, I have literally never had one single issues actually taken care of by ACV. From buying “GREEN LIGHT” and having transport show up to be told the vehicle is now INOP and will require $700 additional for winching the vehicle onto trailer to buying a Hyundai with a bad motor, nothing and I mean NOTHING, has been done to remedy my situations. Very frustrating and I’ve had my fill, going back to good ole BRICK AND MORTAR auctions now. If you get hammered by ACV it is now your fault, you’ve been warned. Dealers BEWARE!!!!

I buy 100% of my vehicles from ACV they present the vehicle in a very detailed way, almost better than in-lane. You can take your time inspect the vehicle and make an educated purchase. If the vehicle is not as described their Arb team is on top of it. Not to mention fees in-lane auction fees are horrendous especially if you're not one of their favorites.

i used ACV for more than 4 years they make it easy on me to buy cars while i am sitting in my office without going outsidewith a professional team they have as Darrian and Hector

We are the Toy Store, an independent Corvette dealership in Largo, FL. We deal with Donavan & Zack at ACV quite often and have had nothing but a professional experience with them both, their service has been phenomenal!

RUN!!! THERE IS MANY OTHER AUCTIONS THEN THIS THAT ARE SO MUCH BETTER!!. So here is my story. I have been with ACV Auctions with my other dealership for 6 years. I opened another dealership and started purchasing cars. Bought 7 in a week. I called on pickup slips and they said I have to wait 5 days. The money comes from the same account as my other dealership and there is nothing different. I even sent them two separate letters from my Bank that says my accounts are in good standing. I said well what happens to arbitration if I have to wait 5 days to get a pickup slip then send a driver out and they basically said that is not our problem. If you are a new dealership looking to buy cars go to Manhiem or local auctions, avoid this like the plague.

Terrible first experience. Was entitled to a $350 advertised credit for purchasing first vehicle, but when it was time to receive the credit all of a sudden everyone stops communicating. Spent two weeks sending emails and phone calls to get the run around and no response. I wont be purchasing cars from them going forward as I can only imagine what a nightmare the process must be when something seriously goes wrong when they cant even follow through with a promotional credit.Humorous Update: After going back and forth with my account manager, who made no attempt to resolve the issue I received a phone call from him three weeks later as he wanted to introduce himself and let me know he’ll be my account manager if I have any issues. This solidified my opinion of how terrible the customer service is here.
