Positive Pups

Our dog has been going to dog daycare with Positive Pups for about a year now and we've only had great experiences with their staff and service. We have a high energy dog and having him be able to socialize and play with other dogs at daycare, definitely helps calm his energy levels for the day.We also did our Level 1 Obedience Class with Positive Pups and definitely learnt a lot from their trainers i.e., giving us homework every week to reinforce and continue what we learnt in-class, being consistent with training and creating a positive environment for our dog and us.I highly recommend Positive Pups.

We did our dog training here for our Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix and it was awesome! So many helpful tips for current and future events. The trainers are calm, understanding and very informed. They were accommodating to my schedule as I am a nurse and could not attend all the training on the same day - they were okay with me attending the 2nd class they had set up as well.Definitely want to continue with training here when things come back to a normal swing post covid.

I have taken the level 1 class twice (two different dogs) and the level 2 class once.I had Aaron as my trainer. But I've also had Brittany when Aaron was on vacation. There's no limit to how much I value the training here - they are knowledgeable, cater to the issues you are having, work on each dog's comfort level and stress threshold and really teach owners how to earn their dog's respect - which leads to a strong bond and improved obedience and behaviour!

My little guy and I just finished our first private lesson with Kelly and her colleague. I can honestly say it was a great experience! Very professional and informative. I had little hope for my dog as he has a tramatic past and is very reactive. Within the first 15 minutes of training I seen a completely different side of him and by the end of the lesson my dog was playing with their dogs! Something that I thought would be impossible for him! The lesson is not just for your dog it's for you as well. Kelly showed me exactly what I needed to do. Signed up for their course at the SPCA. During first class the female Trainer favoured the smaller breeds. Really felt out of place as I had the only large breed dog in the class. She definitely made us feel unwelcomed. I tried to talk to her about including our dog in some class exercises and she seemed unresponsive. Spoke with the SPCA to no avail. Horrible experience during first class and definitely didn't go back. Waist of $200. My recommendation is to find trainers with better people skills or you can get the same training on YouTube for free.

I needed help with my dog. He was extremely aggressive towards other dogs, and would bark at other people. I emailed Positive Pups and today I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly!!! Kelly shocked me with her abundance of knowledge! Kelly was quick to discover my pups underlying issue, and immediately began training him! Kelly used only positive reinforcement, and made the training fun!! After just an hour, Kelly had my pup completely calm and happy!!! She's AMAZING!!

My bully mix and I have been working with Kelly and Aaron for nearly a year now, and we've made incredible progress under their guidance. My dog is very high energy, overly-intelligent, and hyper-sensitive - Kelly and Aaron have helped us overcome so many challenges to establish a working partnership, and I trust that our foundation is positive and lasting. All obedience classes set us up for success, and some additional private lessons for specialized behavioural support made a world of difference. Agility sports classes are fun for dog and handler both, and it's awesome to learn these sports under the instruction of renowned professional competitors! We moved out of the area but still travel from an hour away to continue our learning with them. So grateful for this team!!

We have been using Positive Pups for more than 10 years, since training our first puppy in 2010, and now training our 3 year old rescue. The training is so comfortable - Aaron and Brittany are so friendly and down to Earth, they have tactics for real-world scenarios, everything is so positive, even when a dog or owner is struggling. Boarding! We love the boarding experience here. The pick-up and drop off at home is so convenient, I know my dogs are not kenneled and are playing freely all day, and that feeling is priceless.

We started with Kelly at Positive Pups after having our boarder Collie, Oreo, for a month. Unfortunately due to COVID, in person sessions were suspended so it was online or nothing.We were all extremely happy with how patient, detailed and clear Kelly was in assessing and explaining what we needed to do. Videos back and forth helped us train Oreo step by step.As we continued with the training, Kelly was always there to answer our questions, provide insight and guidance on how to positively train Oreo. She has gone out of her way to watch our videos, send ‘how to’ videos, voice recordings and has even come to our home.We would DEFINITELY recommend Positive Pups!!!

I can't say enough good things about Positive Pups! We've been going to them off and on for the better part of 16 years. 4 of our 6 dogs have been with them. They are the best!
