Limestone Clinic Kingston Counselling & Psychotherapy

I can’t review the actual service as I am not rich and therefore could not access it. I find the laid back vibe of the website very misleading. There is nothing laid back about this place, it is a business. You can’t book with this facility unless you meet with a therapist once weekly, and a session is like $160? I personally don’t have $700 a month to dish out on therapy. I asked if I could come biweekly due to cost (even that is pushing it) and they said no because that’s not their model. This was a few months ago and it actually fully put me off the idea of therapy. I grew up in poverty, and I have busted my behind to get to where I’m at in life. And honestly, being turned away because of my financial situation was just another thing that reinforced to me that only wealthy people have access to public resources. Thankfully I mentioned this experience to a good friend and she reassured me that this was not the case and encouraged me to reach out to another therapist who was a lot more accommodating. This place is just not inclusive. Especially when you consider that children who grew up in poverty are probably one of the biggest demographics who NEED therapy.

I am not one to post online reviews, however I cannot accept that the sole rating for Dr. Boksman and the Limestone Clinic is a single star. My patient experience dates back to 2015. In Dr. Boksman I have found a patient advocate as well as an insightful, empathetic counsellor. I cannot bear to think of the path that my life would have taken had we not met. I sincerely recommend the Limestone Clinic.

This clinic is a money grab. Their website is very well done. It draws you in with it's plain, straight forward language and we get you" vibe. They place you with a therapist

I didn't have any direct contact with the clinic, but I did reach out to Dr. Boksman directly with some concerns and to request her advice. Without hesitation she went above and beyond my expectations to help, she provided some DIY techniques that provide immediate assistance, and she referred me to a local professional who has been exceptional as well. Dr. Boksman is kind, selfless and genuinely empathetic, and I am very grateful to her.

While I have absolutely zero complaints about the therapist I was assigned to, I do question the decision of the clinic to assign a new client to someone going on leave in a few months, without disclosing that fact. Unfortunately I only found out about this after beginning to form a relationship with my assigned therapist. It's hard enough to take the step to find a therapist to begin with, and I was really hoping to find someone for the long term that I could meet with at least once a month following my initial 8 sessions, which I was unfortunately unable to complete due to my therapist needing to go on leave early (which by the way I really hope everything is ok there, and wish her the best). S*** happens, but the clinic leaving me hanging without recommending someone to fill in didn't sit right with me. They seemed to happily discharge" me without being able to complete the 8 sessions they demand from their patients. Their policies state a need for strong commitment from their clients

I saw Taylor for my anxiety and past trauma and she CHANGED my life!!!! Seeing her was one of the best things k ever did for my mental health. I highly highly recommend this clinic. The staff even the admin staff were so welcoming and caring.

Dr. Boksman is a warm, supportive, committed, and skilled psychologist. She cares deeply about people (e.g., remembers details they have told her years later) and is good at making you feel like you're not alone, and that your difficulties can be tackled. She also has a natural enthusiasm that makes you feel more excited about your progress, and is very motivating. She stays very well up to date with developments in the field and professional ethics and guidelines, to ensure her patients are benefitting from the best available support and resources. She did an excellent job of tailoring her guidance to my skills and specific needs, and explaining things in a concrete way with lots of examples from everyday life, so I could easily understand and apply the information.

Dr. Kris Boksman is a powerful clinician, who uses cutting edge technologies to help her clients heal. And she has a great sense of humor. I respect her work, and would happily refer to her.

I've had the opportunity to know Dr. Kris Boksman for the past couple of years. She is dedicated to providing clients with exceptional service in a comfortable therapeutic setting. She has a fun sense of humor and caring spirit. I highly recommend her.
