Honestly, they have a great selection of plants. However, you can't call & they don't answer emails. I've been trying to get Wasabi plants reserved for over a month, because I live 3 hours away and when we came down a month the ago they didnt have them available yet. The staff told me to order them on the website, but the website says they're out of stock and you can't place an order. Getting so tired of the runaround. Pay someone to answer the phone or at least answer the email I sent nearly a month ago. I'm not driving 3 hours for you to tell me you're out of stock.

Do not recommend. Ordered for 3 years or so, delivery to Montreal, seeds and plug packs. Seeds always worse germination rates and less sturdy once grown compared to other brands. Plug packs always cut in unappealing shape (tall, gangly) but at least they can outgrow that state. Kept ordering because they sometimes have varieties others don't. Live plant delivery during heat wave / courier forgetting package for 10 days in warehouse - they won't do anything unless 10 full days have elapsed and the package has not arrived. They put empty nursery pots in my box instead of the plant I ordered then shrug and refund me because they refuse to send any less than 6 plants a box even if it was their error (they can send empty pots neglecting to put your product, but asking them to send the actual product suddenly they are unable to pad the box with filler). Multiple times plants browned significantly and looking ill from delivery issues, when asked to replace, they won't. By the way, the 10 day rule before resending product and 48h to report issues rule is scummy. If the plant arrives weakened it can die in the next 2 days and they will claim they cannot do anything for you. So yeah, I spent $300 at a competing online nursery in Ontario and got a huge box of beautiful plants. I spent $300 at Ritchers and got 80% dead plants. Terrible use of money.

Most of the plant plugs ordered did not survive shipping. It was noticable that the roots had dried out because the soil medium used was so dry it had a sandy texture. The plants had also been dislodged during shipment, causing the leaves to get bruised. Wilted plants getting bruised is a recipe for disaster. I tried calling Ritchers when I received the plants as they have a 48 notification policy but their message system said no one was available to take my call and to email them. I wasn't able to email immediately, so now they're saying it's out of their policy.Very disappointed with the damaged/dying plants and lack/poor of customer service.

I ordered some herbs I had been searching forever for! Friend suggested I try Richter's, ordered and received my plants in less than 3 business days. Well packaged, in great condition and got them in the ground right away. Can't wait to see them flourish!Thanks for the excellent service!

Whether you are a foodie or crafts loving individual, using their ingredients and herbs are fantastic. There are so many varieties, and it just caters to what you are looking for, as well as showing you what else is out there. There are dried flowers and herbs for purchase. There is a tea section as well. Tons of seeds for your own adventure.

Pretty awesome spot if your looking for seeds, fresh and dried herbs! Extremely knowledgeable staff and happy to help you with your purchase start to finish. Great selection overall but if you looking for seeds they have more variety than I knew existed! Definitely worth the trip out!

Box with my plants was 9 days in transit. Plants are looking very sad. I am trying to rescue them. No response to my emails. I won't buy any plants at this place again.Edit after my first reviewGot an email back. A lot of trouble with Canada Post the company is trying to fix the problem and stays in contact because of the plants.UpdateHad nice email conversation with the company. My plants almost survived, only 3 didn't make it. Got a refund on those plants.Thank you.

Horrible customer service, I used to go in every year and spend atleast 100$ on plants and seeds but I called about cayenne seeds that I purchased that just would not germinate, and the lady asked for the batch number and promised to get back to me. I called back after not getting a response and she was not sorry at all, lied and told me she got back to me and the seeds were good. I grew 60 different varieties of peppers this year, the seeds I got from Richter's were not good. Even if they were good, there is no need to be so rude to customers and lose our on a loyal customer trying to support local over a $5 seed packet. Will not be supporting this business anymore, please hire nicer customer service reps so this doesn't happen again.

I just spent almost $150 buying herbs. Everything was good when it arrived but both oregano plants died 60 hours later. I emailed them immediately but they said I was out of luck because I didn’t notify them within 48 hours. I do not recommend buying from them

I order live plants shipped to Nova Scotia and several seed orders every year. It’s amazing to get the little box full of plants of varieties I can’t get here. They always arrive looking great. And their seeds are the best. They are generous with amounts and the foil packs are durable for keeping seeds for several years.
