I went at this store for an appointment for myself and my boyfriend. A. Turns out, the manager never wrote down complete details when i placed the appointment, therefore, my boyfriend never got an appointment.B. I paid $90 for my eye exam and did not get a PD number.C. I was given false information when asked about how they deal with the insurance.The store clerk/manager and the optometrist don't know what they are doing, Blatant disregard towards customer.

I have shopped in the Lindsay, Ontario store for years, and have always been pleased with my selection of frames. The staff are all friendly.Holly is awesome....so professional, knowledgeable and organized.I find she and other staff to be very patient and accommodating, and never feel that I am taking up too much of her time.The shop has appointments due to Covid-19, with strict precautions, however, they manage to make you feel comfortable being in the store, and not rushed when browsing.I highly recommend this Optical Store.

I was struggling to find glasses that I liked and felt confident in. After visiting multiple eye glass places, I was told to visit the Hakim in the Oshawa Centre. Amanda far exceeded my expectations. She was patient, kind, incredibly helpful and very fashion forward. She took her time and was honest with her opinions and recommendations. I was starting to feel defeated until Amanda turned my eye glass shopping experience totally around. Thank you so much for your help!

I have had 3 pair of glasses in the past year from this store. The arm popped off each one of them; twice when people were hugging me. As I am a senior, it's not like I'm playing rough with my glasses. I have not found such shoddy Eyewear in the 40 years I've been wearing glasses. Disgusted. If it was possible to give a lower rating than one star that's what I would have given this place.

I am very pleased with their fast and professional services. I bought my prescription sunglasses there two years ago, I broke them a few days ago and although the guarantee time was over they fixed them for a reasonable price. Alireza is super helpful, he got my reading glasses fixed for a very reasonable price in just one day! I totally recommend this place to everyone.

My glasses was broken and fortunately I had a guarantee that was not expire. I left my glasses to this store and after one week waiting I was offered different frame instead of my exact same frame. I have been waiting more than two days and hopefully I would get my glasses. This my second disappointment regarding Hakim Optical. I was charged for contact lens although they did not fit my eyes.

The store is very clean. The staff is very professional.My issue is with the frames. They do NOT last for years with proper care, etc. The 1st pair barely lasted one year. They were replaced, okay. The replacement pair lasted just a little longer than one year [not by much]. The frames broke along the bottom rim.I am not recommending the store. These glasses cost hundreds of dollars. I expect them to last a lot longer than one year.

This place is a rip-off. I went here for an eye exam, which I paid $80 for. The eye doctor didn't give me my PD number so I could get glasses.I returned to the store and told the lady who works there about the situation. She told me that if I wanted my PD number from her, I had to pay her $50. That is the biggest joke I have ever heard of. I am entitled to the PD number because I paid for my eye exam and prescription. I even brought my receipt and prescription, but she refused to even look at it.Then she proceeded to try and tell me that not all eye exams for glasses prescriptions come with the PD number. Lady, I have been wearing glasses since I was in the 4th grade and wearing contacts since high school. Who are you trying to fool?Don't come to this place if you want honest and legit service. Such a rip-off.Also don't come to this place if you want a dependable place that adheres to their opening hours. Came here the Saturday before my unpleasant experience with the lady at the store and they were closed at 2pm in the afternoon!

Extremely disappointed with the service at Hakim Optical Store on June 12, 2023. Both my girlfriend and I had appointments, but we were disregarded and left waiting. The manager was dismissive and unhelpful. Misleading information about insurance billing was provided. Unprofessional and disrespectful treatment. Urgently needs improvement.
