This entire crew delivered quickly, reliably and with a standard of care that exceeded our expectations. They connected with us throughout the project, confirming different stages of the construction to ensure it was meeting our requirements. The following work was completed on a factory loft renovation:-Demolition of concrete counters, and kitchen cabinetry, drywall and two bathrooms-Framing of several rooms, including structural steel beams and posts to support a floating mezzanine bedroom-Rough in and drains for 2 bathrooms-Removal of 3 layers of paint and restoration of interior brickwork to its original patina and industrial look-Concrete floor levelling and repairs-Disposal and cleanup.Feargus’ impeccable project management and building experience kept this project on track and it was completed ahead of schedule. Every member of this crew worked together, respected our neighbours and treated our home like it was their own. They really got into the project at every stage.This team took the place of a 20+ (now retired) crew of trades we’ve worked with on many projects. Naturally we were apprehensive about starting with an entirely new team. We were so happy with their work we’ve decided to contract this team immediately for another project we decided to start this spring.The cost of this job was on par with comparable quotes. However, the extra distance, quality standards and ability to understand this unique project sets Self Build Canada apart from their competitors.I would gladly recommend Self Build Canada and plan to rehire them for future projects!

It's been very difficult the last few seasons to find contractors willing to do small jobs. I was extremely pleased that Stephen was able to help on such a short turn-around. 4 days after our initial contact, concrete pour & finish for 10' x 10' shed pad was complete.The Self Build Canada crew were on-time, friendly, knowledgeable and worked quickly. Results were professional, with an eye for detail that made me very happy.I can't say enough about Stephen... knowledge, professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and excellent communicator. Great experience with Stephen and his team! We redid our patio recently and were very happy with the results. The team was professional, very hardworking and did the job well in a timely manner. Can't say enough about Stephen and his crew at self build Canada!! The job ran smoothly and efficiently, with an great finished product. Would highly recommend Stephen for any future work. His wealth of knowledge is great and didn't hesitate to answer any questions or give advice.Our project was a basement slab pour with limited access and radiant flooring. Stephen took the time to make a couple trips out to verify everything was ready to go for the big day, and made sure everything was thought through for no hiccups day of. We hired Stephen and his team to fix/repair patches of eroding mortar on our 100 year old brick home.Stephen was fantastic through the entire project and we hope to work with him again. From taking extra time to walk us through the quote in great to detail, to the actual exection of the work, to the final walk through and touch ups, Stephen was a pleasure to work with! We had an excellent experience from start to finish with Self Build. Stephen and Carlos helped us fix an exterior brick wall. Carlos worked tirelessly all day and did excellent tuck pointing work. The wall looks great, and we are very happy with the work. We'd definitely reach out to them again for more work- Stephen was extremely organized, communicative, and helpful- we really appreciated the time and consideration he took in discussing the ways we could approach fixing the wall when he gave us a quote.
