T-Dot Tumblers Gymnastics Academy

I've been taking my two daughters to T Dot for years and it's been amazing to see their transformation into little gymnasts. We haven't taken them since the lockdowns began, and it's definitely one of the things we miss the most and can't wait to get back to. The teachers are all wonderful and caring, and the facility is nice and big with tons of options.

We have been part of the comp program since January of this year. While that alone has been a fantastic experience watching my daughter's strength and confidence grow exponentially, the real stand out to me is how they have handled the COVID crisis. We have 3 kids and therefore have them registered at several different dance/gymnastics/rock climbing. I can say without a doubt that Amanda and her team at T-Dot dealt with this head and shoulders above the others. Constant communication, bi-weekly zoom classes with QUALITY and engaging instruction, and even daily/weekly challenges to keep the kids exercising and engaged in the program.When we were allowed back to the gym in June, I didnt hesitate being confident in the very clear and specific safety measures they put in place. It may be weird dropping off my 6 yr old wearing a mask and waiting in line as they socially distantly enter and get supervised sanitizer, but if gave me confidence they were taking this very seriously. I legitimately feel more comfortable about sending her here then with whatever version of school starts in September.

Our 4 year old loves, loves, loves her gymnastics class here! She is always looking forward to gymnastics. We have never seen her so enthusiastic about an extracurricular activity before so we are very happy to discover this.

My daughter loves this gymnastics place especially the trampolines (big and small), the foam pit, balance beams, swinging ropes, I guess she loves all of it. I found it's helped her sense of balance and it gives her somewhere she can jump around and do these movements in a safe environment. I guess the only comment I can say is that the instructors voices are sometimes hard to hear as the room is big and their voices are not that loud. I've been sending my daughter since she was 2 years old (she's 3 now) and she loves it. The instructors enforce the rules of protecting children and privacy and I appreciate it.Thanks for all your work.

My 5-year old daughter comes home excited to show me new skills she learned after every class. Great place to get my kid active and moving, especially during the long winter months. During the COVID shutdown, we were glad that online conditioning was available so my kid can continue to keep up her physical activeness from home.This gym also worked out thorough COVID protocols and was able to open as early as they were allowed. Clear communication of the COVID protocols via Zoom sessions also help me feel at ease as a parent.The staff have been very responsive via email correspondence and have been able to resolve several questions and concerns I had. It seems that there are different coaching styles and the staff was able to help my daughter find a coaching style that is most suitable for her personality.There are strict rules related to refund and being on time for class. But all policies are clearly communicated.If drop-off or pick-up time occurs during rush hour, make sure to budget enough time to be on-time. The rush-hour traffic to get into this place can be quite brutal.

We have been attending classes, PA days and camps for the last 18 months.The recreational classes are a great opportunity for development of Physical Literacy and an hour of moderate physical activity. The owners strongly advocate and use opportunities to encourage healthier nutrition.There are opportunities for kids to continue along a recreational stream or elite training and development based on their interests & skills.We have had difficulty registering as all of the classes fill up quickly, however have also had success with going on the wait - lists as spots open up or new classes are offered.There are moments where I have felt that maybe the coaches aren't attentive enough or whatever, but we have persisted and kept registering and coming to classes.Over the last 18 months I have seen a significant improvement in the skills, abilities and interest of my kid and she runs excitedly to her coaches and wants to hug them before she leaves. As a mom I have moments, but cumulatively I feel that we are getting value out of the programs.

My 4 year old enjoyed his first session and teacher, but the second session was a different story. The teacher said he wasn't a good listener and although he was very quiet and not disruptive, made him feel bad and he started to refuse going to class. Although they owners offered us other class times, they did not work and we ended up dropping out. The owner said we passed the deadline for refund so we lost out on the last 4 weeks of the session. I will say the one thing he learned was a somersault. The students also spent the majority of their time waiting for their turn as the teacher only helped one child at a time.Since parents cannot accompany kids to this class, I can't comment in too much detail on the instruction received. I wish there was seating in front of the observation window.

My daughter has been attending classes at T-Dot Tumblers for a number of years and was really disappointed when things closed earlier this year due to Covid. As places began to open we were so excited to be able to resume gymnastics. T-Dot Tumblers has done an amazing job at keeping the children safe during their re-opening. They provided families with clear, easy to follow instructions and protocols for entering/leaving their facility. The instructors are energetic which makes the initial health checks fun especially for the younger children. I feel completely safe having my daughter continue classes at T-Dot Tumblers. They have done an amazing job keeping safety paramount while still allowing the members to enjoy their sport. Well done!

My 2 daughters have been going to TDot for 9 years. Both the girls have advanced greatly in their skills and really enjoyed the programs. The owner is very professional and responds in a timely manner. I highly recommend this program for Rec gymnastics all the way to advance level gymnastics.

My 3 daughters switched from the parks & recs competitive gymnastics to T-Dot 5 years ago because the city gyms don't do bars and as they were progressing, we felt it was time to move to a proper gym that included bar work. We were welcomed into the family and all 3 girls found their place within the gym based on their strengths. They have been happy here ever since.They love their coaches, the friends they've made (they spend a lot of time together since they train 9 hours a week together), the facilities, and the program. They have progressed well and have done well in the interclub competitions. They have always felt well supported by staff and are always encouraged to try new things. They have a good relationship with their coaches.Since joining T-Dot, their younger brother has also started in the caregiver & tot class with me. This is his second year in the program and he loves it. He finds the program engaging and he has a lot of fun in it. The coaches have been able to push him just enough that he's made a lot of progress without ever being discouraged.My oldest daughter who started here as a tween is now in high school and no longer competing. She now maintains her skills by joining the adult & teen class which she really enjoys. With the encouragement of the director, she started as a coach in training when she was old enough and now enjoys coaching the little kids and passing on what she has learnt. She likes the working environment and is committed to pass on her love of the sport to the little ones starting on their journey.Thank you T-Dot and keep up the good work!
