After waiting over a month to see a councellor, the intake worker didn't even forward 'notes' that she took upon getting me the councellor. And then I was pretty much told all they can do to help me is give me coping mechanisms and if I wanted to get actual help to go to a walkin clinic or pay for a private psychiatrist.

Save yourself the pain, disappointment, devastation. The services that are available are circa 1996 and the person who does intake obviously hates her job and the people who come for help. Try another city or even another province.

If you get stable" they discharge you before you are able to keep yourself stable. Lots of rude individuals. Most are just social workers with an inflated sense of self importance and are not actually equipped to handle cases that are complex. Good to have an ear to listen but that's about it."

Took over a year of waiting to finally get in to see someone. Very frustrating wait but the staff are helpful and kind and will answer any questions you may have. Almost all of my calls were returned within 1-2 business days. Free counciling service. If you can wait it's very helpful.

Going to Dr. Alugo was a complete waste of our time. I asked for advice about therapy for my son, but she would not speak to me about it, instead referring me to someone less educated. She diagnosed my son with ODD but offered no advice as to what to do about it, simply wishing me luck. We missed an appointment I didn't even realize we had so were fired from her care. This doctor is appalling!

I am so absolutely disappointed in my appointment today. I went in today to check my status on the waiting list for a psychiatrist and the secretary told me that either I could wait several more months or get checked to see what else has developed. So I decided to talk to one of the workers. The appointment went well at first. But after a bit she became negative and decided to diagnose me with a personality disorder. Which is out of her jerisdiction. Also told me how am I eligible to diagnose myself when she is a medical professional for several years. Well I am eligible since I have lived with myself for 20 years now. And at the end she says “We will keep you on the waiting list” (ignorant tone) like was she trying to say that I should be on the waiting list or that I am not high priority. Beyond angry

Dr Alugo only talked to me once and gave me a life long diagnosis of BPD at 15 years old. Also did it to two of my siblings when they went to see her at 15/16 and going no more than twice. I'm 24 and now know it is CPTSD w ADHD, not BPD. Does not listen to anything you say, when you try to talk about certain symptoms you're having and just wants to push medication and get you out the door. Extremely rude individual. Seems like everyone I talk to that has seen this doctor" has had a personality disorder pushed on them at a very young age. BPD should not be diagnosed until age of maturity with is typically 19 years old
