I bought my RV at Arbtus Coutenay then I had moved 3.5 hours away to where there was no one to do warranty repairs and called back for help and was treated terribly!I called to speak to the manager and he didn't even listen to me and he was very rude and put me on hold then transferred me to the service department without speaking to me any further. I felt that because I was a single female that they had zero respect for me.When it came time for me to sell my trailer 1.5 years later, one of the sales members' was going to charge me a 30% consignment fee and I received awful customer service. I gave him my address to mail out my consignement documents and he had my phone number but then I didnt hear back from him for weeks only to find out he was mailing my documents to an address from 1.5years ago!!He didnt call me back when he said he would so I looked up another, better place to consign my trailer. I had paid in full for my RV at Arbutus and as soon as I walked out the door, they didn't care about any of my trailer concerns and new potential buyers came first as they had told me they were too busy.Then, I found Oceanside RV consignment in Parksville and read the reviews.I called Oceanside RV and was in luck as Kody was going to help me.Right from the start, Kody was respectful and his customer service skills are some of THE BEST I've ever experienced!The flow of communication was seemless and he kept me updated with everything I needed to know.After only 4 days my trailer had a potential buyer!!Everything on my trailer had been kept up and was in excellent condition.Also Oceanside RV onsignment rate was excellent and MUCH less than the shotty Arbutus. Oceanside RV gave 100% respect towards me.The new owners have my lovely, well cared for RV that I sold to move, so I was willing to give a great price for the RVKody is a superstar and a pillar of the North Island communities. He will put you and your needs first and confidently ensure you get only THE BEST service.Oceanside RV! This world needs more of you!

Beware to buyers! They are great selling the unit, but afterwards there is no support towards warranty or service. We had a few minor issues but when we tried to address these issues, we were ignored! Many emails to warranty and service, we still haven't received a single response!! Worst customer service in all the trailers we have purchased over the past 20 years!

Jordan was very informative when I had inquired about consigning our motorhome. He was not pushy when expressing interest in selling our RV on our behalf, and provided advice in my final attempt to do so myself.I appreciate his thoughtfulness and honesty. I will support Arbutus with any potential future purchases.

Working with the Arbutus GM to resolve our many complaints regarding our treatment at the Merville Arbutus branch, I feel the need to upgrade my rating from the minimum one star, to 3 stars. The GM saw us repaid for the hundreds of dollars we spent, as well as getting us action on the remote controls that had been sitting at the local branch for a full month before he got involved. This started with us selling our home to buy an RV and try out the lifestyle, but were caught up in what seemed to be a bait & switch situation, where the $100,000+ RV we were shown and placed a deposit on became a completely different model that we had never even seen before. This was incredibly heartbreaking, as we had spent months looking for the perfect home to live in - and ended up with absolutely no choice in our eventual unit, with only two weeks before we had to vacate our home. While I could never in good conscience recommend this local dealership, the company in general certainly does make an effort to do right by people.

Just showed up to look for a new fifth wheel, asked if I could see what they had, was pointed toward the yard, wandered around for 20 minutes, looked at all 5 rvs that were unlocked. No idea on the price, year, or anything as they put the sheet behind a tinted window, 7.5 feet from ground height.I'm on my way elsewhere now. Judging by the lack of service, or drive to even acknowledge a customer, I am guessing thats the service I'm getting after I buy from them.

Purchased from Arbutus RV & Marine -Courtenay...1. exceeded our expectations on our 2007 5th Wheel trade in 2. Exceeded our expectations on the cost of new 5th Wheel 3. Customer service was excellent from start to finish and not without some glitches which were dealt with immediately....4. Sales and support and delivery we felt supported and all instructions were followed great experience all around highly recommend! Thank you to the sales and service team at Courtenay and the finance team for Arbutus. We are now the proud owners of a new Reflection 295RL by Grand design 5th wheel with all the bells and whistles right down to full onsite support.

KC and the rest of the guys at Arbutus Melville have been amazing. Even though our little RV only cost $6000 they treated us like we'd spent $100,000. Nothing was to much trouble. They took it down to Sydney to make the final walk round more local for us and those guys were just as amazing. Thanks again guys. You renewed our faith in customer service !

We have known Caleb the Branch Manager of this RV outlet for many years and have bought trailers from him in the past. He is known locally in the industry as an honorable man and I endorse this. We recently purchased an RV from salesman Thomas. There were several issues that required attention and Arbutus responded to all of them. I would not hesitate to recommend this business if you are in the market for an RV.This is an addendum to the preceding. Several weeks after taking delivery of our RV we noticed the seals along the edge of the roof were in need of care. This was supposed to be tended to at time of delivery. After advising Caleb the manager of Arbutus, he immediately took responsibility for the oversight, booked an appointment with the Service Dept and had the matter tended to. This is probably as good an example as any why we would return to this business.
