Note that I didn't actually go on the tour (sadly!) this 5* review is from my interaction with Adam.I called on Friday to book a last minute tour for that weekend. I left a message and promptly got a call back that there was space on Saturday for the sunset tour. I booked, gave my credit card info to hold the spots, and got all the information we needed. The next morning I got another call from Adam saying that unfortunately the winds had picked up and while it was safe, it wouldn't be a leisurely paddle. He gave me the option of rebooking or cancelling given the weather. Because we were leaving the area we weren't able to rebook, so we cancelled. No penalties, no fees, even though they had our credit card info and certainly could have said that because it was safe enough to go they were going to charge us anyway. Or just not said anything and let us go and have a rotten time. As someone who has never kayaked before, I was so impressed by this commitment to safety and enjoyment.Even though we didn't get to go this time, I won't hesitate to book the next time we're in the area!

Can’t recommend this place enough. A magical way to spend time with these grand oceans.

Did a tour with Adam and had an awesome time. Highly recommend going out with east coast outfitters. Professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

Beautiful area to explore. Lots of different equipment to pick from, from single kayaks to double. Our guide took the time to explain the benefits and cons of both to us, which was a lot of help.Not sure if we caught him on a bad day, but our guide seemed quite grumpy.

This is the best kayaking spot. 20 km from Halifax on the beautiful road to Peggy's Cove. Stop at Shad Bay restaurant for Chowder.

Adam is the consummate professional guide. He is a master of kayaking and makes learning the techniques easy. His business has a wide variety of equipment suitable for all customers.Adam is genial and warm. He welcomes everyone and understands what we might like to see and do. His approach to a range of skills and abilities is very inclusive so you should not hesitate to sign up for his trips. They depart from a location about 30-minutes out of Halifax so you get the added enjoyment of driving through the countryside on your way.I recommend Adam's services highly. This is a fun and interesting way to spend a half day.

Went here for the sunset tour and bbq for my bachelorette party (almost 5 years ago). We all had a blast and it was such an amazing time that I recommend it to all my friends. I had even arranged a group of ppl from work to go one day. Always a great time <3

Great place for both the novice or expert kayaker. Qualified, supportive training available with guided kayak tours of nearby waterways.Simply gorgeous!

The area is absolutely gorgeous and such a nice place to paddle. The man working the day we went, though, was snippy and unhelpful. Most of our group had never been out before or had minimal experience and he gave zero instruction while making us feel we were wasting his time getting set up and brought in at the end of our paddle. Another group was trying to converse with him and he was the same with them, so I know it wasn’t personal to us. I’m hoping he was just having a bad day but it tainted the experience for sure.
