I am saddened that Kari wrote such a negative review, but in my defense, the first time Kari came into my shop, she spent the $500 on patching the exhaust system, oil change and filter (unrelated), related, where the spark plugs and an engine scan of which Kari paid $255.85,we did mention to her at this point with 116,000 kilometers there could be other problems which might arise. Her 2003 Volkswagen Golf worked great till she had another problem a few weeks later. With respect to Kari's other issue there was no charge for the diagnostic scan and even implied this on her estimate. I called the Volkswagen dealer as for my own reference and found they were not cheaper by the amount that she told us, providing she had the same work done. I wish no ill fate on anyone and their vehicles.

I’ve had my car in this shop more times than I’d like within the past year (my fault)The service they provide is exceptional. Aaron is a wonderful person to deal with and the mechanics do a fantastic job.They’re transparent and honest about everything. They let you know exactly what the game plan is from start to finish. There’s no shady prices added on when you pick your vehicle up.Some of the negative reviews are kind of hard to believe. Basing that on my experience.I highly recommend this shop.

I brought my 1961 122s GT Rally Volvo into this location because of the mechanic who previously worked at Gords Auto, where I had it worked on initially. My experience with Scott, the owner, was great at first. He sourced out parts. He made me aware of what he was looking for and what the car needed. I had informed him that the ignition key is a push button, turn it a quarter and no further, then push the button to start. Don't force it, or it will break! I mentioned I only had one key at this point and all was working fine. Then I get a call saying he had busted the key in the cylinder anyway.When I was called in to pick up my car, I never thought I had to double check everything when I brought it in for repairs to begin with. Think again! I was charged the same amount as discussed despite them being unable to replace my brake hydraulic hose and bleed the brakes, which were part of the original cost.On my way home, I noticed my window winder (manual) is broken and on the floor, and my signal (blinker) lever is busted and left hanging. He let me drive away like this! It's a safety hazard! Not only could I not signal in rush hour, I couldn't even roll down my window to hand signal. I drove back immediately. The owner claimed I brought it in that way and that old cars break while slamming my car doors to prove a point. Completely uncalled for and no accountability. If it was broken, I would have been happy to pay him to fix it when I brought it in.If you want trust in the person you're doing business with and you own something you care about to be fixed, do NOT visit this place. Owner Scott and his team always deliver. We've been clients for over a decade and with many cars. Trusting your mechanics and enjoying the experience is a given, but his team goes way beyond their call of duty. Not only will they be honest about limitations, but they will even recommend other suppliers if they can't guarantee their usual excellence, they will assure you are taking care of. I have an older vehicle that I've owned for close to 18 years. I needed some exhaust repair work done and Scott and his team were able to diagnose the problem, order parts and get the job done all within one day. I'm pleased with the service and quality of the work and my exhaust is nice and quiet now. I also like the fact that Scott recognized that this vehicle was very special to me and that made me feel that there is a pride in workmanship and service at this garage.

Recently had a warranty repair and they were responsive and fast to fix! Thanks Scott and Mike.Scott is personable, has a good team and gives fair pricing. He responds fast and tries to get you back in your car as quickly as possible. I’ve used him for brakes and clearing the drain lines (water inside car). I recommend them for all services, not just brakes and mufflers. Scott and his team know their stuff.

There was a problem with my vehicle after my servicing. Insead of offering assistance or acknowledging this new problem, the owner, Scott, would not acknowledge the problem as a result of their workmanship. He blamed the issue on me because I wouldn't ok other work, they had suggested (Up-selling)The problem I had after servicing did not exsist before my vehicle was serviced there.I will not recommend this location of Budget Brake and Muffler to anyone.I drove away with a new problem,I feel, that it should have been investigated further and repaired by the this company. Poor customer satisfacotion and blassé attitude of owner.
