Well, we have gone the wonderful journey of building a new home with Aquilla Homes. We were lucky to walk into an Aquilla show home in February and we fell in love with the design, decor, and workmanship. As a result, we formed a great partnership with Barry Nephin, the owner, and his team of assistants, Tracey, Judy, and Murray. If your priority is about quality, detail, and workmanship, then Aquilla homes is the company for you. Aquilla’s online computer program keeps you the buyer on track with meticulous detail, subtlety reminding you of your role in the progress of building your new home; when to go to each of the suppliers to choose your carpet, plumbing, lighting, etc. One on one relaxed and unrushed conversations with Barry and Tracey throughout the progress allows for you to ensure that yours and their ideas are worked out and applied to the construction of your wonderful home. This is a team that I would highly recommend building your new home.

This was our first home build. If anyone has done this before you'll know how overwhelming the process can be. So many choices and selections to make, hoping it all comes together as you envisioned.We choose Aquilla Homes because of the reviews we read. After meeting with Barry we knew that the reviews were right and we had made the right choice. He helped us take an existing floorplan and customize it to suit our needs without compromising the integrity of a well built home. Barry is surrounded by a dedicated staff that share his passion for quality, and customer service. That dedication doesn't end at the possession date, if we have a question, a reply is usually within the same day. It's not very often someone experiences true customer service. We are very happy with our home, the craftsmanship that went into the construction and the attention to detail.Our house truly feels like a home. We would not hesitate to refer anyone considering a home build to Barry and his team.

My husband and I recently built a home with Aquilla. We researched other builders and homes in the community, but we always felt that the quality of the Aquilla homes were superior. The team of Barry, Tracey and Murray are terrific people to work with. We are so happy with our home and would recommend Aquilla Homes to others.

March 31st will mark 3 years since we took possession of our home built by Aquilla Homes in Strathmore's community of Wildflower Ranch. We love our home as much today as we did the first day we entered it. Tracey and Barry were so great to deal with and their foreman Murray is top notch. Even after almost 3 years they are still involved to answer any question we may have. When we were looking for a new home about 4 years ago we ran our realtor through the paces, knowing that whatever we chose was going to be our forever home. We were unsure at the time if we would buy new or used until we walked through Aquilla's show-home. I work for an Electrical contracting company and have been in my field for over 30 years, so I have an appreciation for contractor quality. The first places I looked at in their show home were the first places that contractors neglect quality; the basement, in particular the Electrical and Furnace Rooms. I was impressed to see the quality in every area of the show-home matched throughout. I always recommend Aquilla Homes to any of my friends or colleagues looking to build a new home - you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I used Aquilla homes to build our first home this past year. Being newly-weds and away from family, we were a bit worried about the process of building a new home. I cannot say enough positive things about Barry, Tracey, and Murray from Aquilla. They are a wonderful team that have really made the home buying (and building) process easy.To start, Barry helped us to customize a floor plan to our preferences; we told him our budget and he was able to put together a home package that met all of our needs. We were then set up on an amazing App called Co-Construct, which allowed us to make choices, view important documents, and keep track of progress with a daily log and added pictures of progress. Any questions we had during the process were always immediately addressed by either Tracey or Barry, which helped to set our mind at ease.During the building I had some doubts about my choices for tile and flooring – Tracey set up a meeting and went through some options, as well as took me to some other homes in the area for inspiration. Her eye for design is excellent and she was an great guide through the design process.In all, the home took about 6.5 months to build – we were in by our estimated date. Since our move-in everything has been fantastic. You may think that once the builder hands over the keys they are hands off – but I can tell you that Barry, Tracey, and Murray are fantastic and have addressed any issues that have come up quickly. For example, the first night in our home our brand new washer malfunctioned and leaked all over our second floor laundry room – we panicked as we had just taken possession and feared that this had just severely damaged our new home. I called Barry for advice, and within a week we had a new washer, and Murray had come by to repair drywall and molding damage.This support is invaluable. It is clear to both my husband and I that Aquilla Homes and Barry take pride in their work and the homes they build for families. I would recommend Aquilla to anyone looking to build a home.

We bought our home from Aquilla in 2018 and couldn't be happier. The quality of the build was very important to us after spending 12+ years renovating homes and seeing the work others have done. We were not disappointed with Aquilla.Barry walked us through each step and showed all of the value added steps they take to make sure our house was built right. They even gave us access to pictures of every step of the build, from foundation to roof. Tracey and Murray make sure that every (minor) issues is resolved to our satisfaction and in a timely manner. They are all very professional and friendly and made or first home building experience very enjoyable.Late last year we had the basement developed and hired another reputable contractor to help us finish it. He and his crew kept commenting on how well our house was built compared to others they've worked on. They were also very impressed about all the things Aquilla did in preparation for the basement development and the extra steps they took, like spray foaming the rim joists, extra large windows and rough in for the built in vacuum, even prewiring a doorbell for the basement.We would highly recommend the Aquilla team and would use team again if we ever build a new house.

This is my second house that I have bought and the first for my girlfriend and I bought together. The first one was a full build with Excel Homes in Cochrane and I had major issues with Excel Homes. DO NOT BUY WITH EXCEL HOMES! I’m still waiting on warranty issues going on 3 years later!This house was at a stage where we could change a few things but most was already picked out. Barry definitely has the upper hand in the industry when it comes to caring for his potential home owners. Right away I felt like I can trust in what he can produce in quality and if you ever have any issue with the house. Barry really strives for a happy and satisfied customer.As soon as my girlfriend and I walked into his show home, we instantly noticed a big difference between the other builders in our area. The difference being not only design but quality and how well everything flowed throughout the house. One night, I stopped by Aquilla’s office for (I can’t quite recall) Barry showed me how he personally designs the houses and it blew my mind! This can show what needs to be changed in a house’s architecture but also show his customer what their new home will look like inside flirt plan and put in a 3D environment. I guarantee that any new home buyer who is looking for a custom home or just building one of their floor plans they provide to know exactly what they will be getting. This helps with people who have a hard time picturing a floor plan as a 3D image. If the timing was better then we would have utilized his tool and went with a totally custom floor plan, which is awesome to see a builder offer! Barry is always tweaking or designing new floor plans which can appeal/meet the needs to any potential new home owner.I have only had a few small issues with moving into my home. We never had a chance to do a pre possession walk through because of conflicting schedules, so we had to do it all at once. This made it hard to find any deficiencies because their possession walk through is very thoroughly done. So now I’m just finding little things with the house that required some attention. A missing window screen, couple dings in the walls, 2 of my bathroom sinks require some adjustment, and a chandelier needed to be lined up better and bulb issues with that fixture. Other than that nothing really too bad to say. Having said this no one is perfect but Barry definitely tries to be for his customer. He definitely listens and he had my issues taken care of within a timely fashion.Overall we are very very happy with our new home! I definitely will remember Aquilla homes for the future if/when we would ever build again. I highly recommend this builder to anyone! It’s nice to finally feel like you don’t get screwed over with a builder and that Barry cares for his customers, reputation, and the product he delivers to you and the neighbourhood.

After having our home built in 2016 we could not be more pleased with the quality of our home. The communication with Aquilla Homes was very consistent and quick. Each phase of our home build was extremely transparent and we we were always updated with the progress.Through any build you will always have your ups and downs. After moving in we did have some shingles lifting and a few concerns with our garage door. With that being said, the way everything was handled was very quick and professional. Nothing was swept under the rug and was dealt with better then we could have ever expected.If you want an open & honest builder we recommend Aquilla Homes to anyone and we would definitely build with them again!Thank you Barry & Tracey
