Royal Ashburn Golf Club

My husband and I had our wedding at the Royal Ashburn Golf club on Saturday, June 24, 2023. We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding! We had to postpone our wedding two times, and each time the Royal Ashburn Golf Club was accommodating. Once our wedding day finally came, it was absolutely perfect.Special thanks to our coordinator, Sowmya, who made sure every detail was taken care of. Sowmya was a pleasure to deal with, answered all of my questions quickly and provided her suggestions. On our wedding day, we were dealing with thunderstorm warnings, and Sowmya made sure to monitor the weather and keep us updated on the plan. She helped take so much stress of off us on our big day, and we really appreciated it. The weather cooperated, and we ended up being able to have our ceremony outside in the Woodland Garden, which was breathtakingly beautiful. The grounds where we took our photos were also stunning!The second part of our wedding was held in the Compton room, which was a beautiful room for our reception! The meals were fantastic and the staff were wonderful. The main courses we selected (bocconcini chicken and prime rib) were just delicious. We got so many comments from our guests about how good the food was.Thank you to Sowmya and the staff at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club for making our wedding day so special! I would highly recommend the Royal Ashburn Golf Club for a perfect wedding day.

Great course! Never had an issue with pace of play. After reading the past two reviewers (who are seemingly from the same family), I am surprised they can’t get their story straight about their round? I wouldn’t take outlier reviews like this to heart. You won’t have an issue.

We had my daughters bridal shower there last weekend in the Ashburn sun room, as well we utilized the attached outdoor patio which made made private for our event. It was the perfect size for 50 guests and the room was tastefully decorated. Lindsey our events planner was fantastic. She listened to all of our requests and accommodated without hesitation. When the guests arrived we provided a signature drink with warm appetizers…our guests raved about them. Then we did a high tea with finger sandwiches and baked pastries and there was plenty of food. We had a wonderful day! Thank you Lindsey and Royal Ashburn Golf Club.

My wife and I had our wedding at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club, with our ceremony outside in the Cedar Garden and our reception in the Ashburn Room. Both locations were immaculately prepared by the venue, lead by our amazing coordinator Lindsey. Whatever came up on the day of, Lindsey and her team were there to resolve and help ensure the day went as smoothly as possible. She coordinated with our vendors and ensured a smooth set-up and helped us keep to the schedule as closely as possible. I can honestly say we did not stress during our big day and that made for a wonderful experience. The Royal Ashburn is a beautiful location for your wedding and would highly recommend!

First I did not want to add a negative comment as the event space is beautiful. On June 4 I booked the event space upstairs for my daughters sweet 16. After the venue I followed up with the event planner raising some concerns. 1. The food was sub par. We had to send it back to the kitchen. The scrambled eggs were sitting in liquid. The bacon was not cooked and the sausages were looking like they were boiled not browned. 2. My daughters beautiful cake was butchered and thinly sliced and piled on trays sticking to each other. My guests could barely lift a piece off the tray. Don’t understand why they could not use plates?? 3. The room we had to store our purses wouldn’t lock and maintenance spent about 40-45 min trying to fix it. He couldn’t. 4. The staff packed up the cake cutting it further and stuffing to go boxes with it. Such a shame.I spoke with the Event manager and she had only excuses, also included that Scott the general manager agreed there was nothing they could do to compensate some of the cost of the food. They had no resolve. I asked her to ask Scott to call me. She said she would let him know, as he would return on Monday. She said he would probably not call because he said they would not offer compensation. It is now Thursday and Scott has not called and no one has followed up. If the chef doesn’t even know how to make scrambled eggs and bacon, that’s pretty sad. Perhaps my $2800 for 50 people for my daughters special day was insignificant for them. So sad. I would never recommend this event space again.

One of the best choices we made for our May 2022 wedding was choosing Royal Ashburn Golf Club as our venue! We hosted a Sunday Brunch style wedding with a morning ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour, and then a buffet style brunch. Our guests cannot stop talking about the incredible experience they had a Royal Ashburn, and we feel the exact same way! The grounds are absolutely stunning and the views from the 2nd floor Compton Room are unmatched. From both the covered and uncovered patios/terraces, the glass solarium, and the indoor reception space, our guests utilized and enjoyed every part of the Compton Room. The food is the absolute best and we're so happy that our guests from vegan, gluten free, to those non-restricted all had plentiful options to choose from. We're talking Eggs Benedict, waffles, traditional breakfast foods, fresh fruit, pastries, and lunch items, the food was so delicious! The service is also unmatched - every individual you meet is friendly, helpful, and goes above and beyond to ensure you're having a memorable experience. From day one, Lindsey, our Wedding and Events Manager was attentive to every detail and every email sent her way. Lindsey supported us throughout the entire planning process including helping us plan our rehearsal and rehearsal lunch! She helped us to make informed decisions, provided us options, and most impactfully, was the day-of-coordinator ensuring everything was on time, organized, and as we had envisioned. We cannot thank Lindsay enough for her hard work, professionalism, expertise, and passion! With Royal Ashburn, you cannot go wrong in choosing them as your venue. Our wedding day was a dream, and much of that is owed to their dedicated and passionate staff. We would confidently recommend Royal Ashburn to anyone, and we hope to work with them again for future events.

I absolutely ADORE Royal Ashburn!! As a photographer, I have photographed at many venues throughout the years and this one is by far one of my favourites!The staff is so lovely and professional. They truly care about their couples and they treat the vendors like family. I can't tell you how much that means as a wedding professional. It says a lot about a venue when they make vendors feel welcomed and appreciated.The food and atmosphere is amazing and the grounds are so spectacular for photos. I could go on and on but just take it from me - this is a great choice for your special day!

Our wedding at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club was truly a dream come true! We cannot express enough gratitude to Lindsey, our wedding coordinator, who went above and beyond to ensure that our day was perfect. She answered all of our questions (sometimes within minutes of emailing her), coordinated every detail flawlessly, and made us feel at ease throughout the entire planning process.The staff at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club were also incredible - from the moment we arrived, they were attentive and made us feel like VIPs. Their professionalism and attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and we were blown away by their level of service.The food was absolutely delicious, with the steak and shrimp main course being a particular highlight. Our guests raved about how flavorful and well-prepared each dish was, and we were thrilled to hear so many positive comments.Overall, our experience at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club exceeded our expectations in every way. We received so much positive feedback from our family and friends, who enjoyed the stunning location, delicious food, and impeccable service. In fact, our friends were so impressed with the venue that they have decided to have their own wedding there as well!We are grateful to Lindsey and the entire staff at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club for making our special day one that we will cherish forever. The Royal Ashburn is an awesome wedding venue. I think it has some of the nicest ceremony spots in the Durham Region. The reception spaces are also really nice and modern. There isn't a ton of locations you're allowed to use for photos due to safety reasons. (Flying golf balls) However, the spots available are very pretty. Lindsay (and other wedding coordinators) are very hard working and sweet. They will take you around on the golf cart for your couple photos. As a wedding photographer myself I like to use one of the authorized holes and the ceremony area for wedding party and family photos so that there doesn't have to be more walking than necessary. FYI, If you want to hire a photographer that isn't on their preferred list there is an additional fee. I've had a few clients purchase their firework package and wow it is so amazing. Such an exciting addition to the celebration. My favourite thing about this venue is the large pond they have. It is a must for sunset photos. Feels like you're suddenly in cottage country.

Went here for my friend's wedding and it is a nice venue. The food was really good. The staff were polite and friendly, Cael was amazing! I only put 4 stars since I didn't actually golf here so I can't speak to how good the course is. However, if it is anything like the rest of my experience here then I'm sure it's great.
