Silversmith Brewing Company (The Church - Virgil Location)

Best chicken sandwich, hands down. There is a reason why they have three different versions of their chicken sandwich. It's cooked perfecrly and their sauces is out of the world. It was peach season, so we also had peach prosciuttto flat bread which was also a joy in our mouth. Of course, they have good beer. The patio is right by a busy street, we enjoyed our seat inside with stained glass. Beautiful building, interior, friendly staff. Lots of parking.

Always enjoy our visits to this quaint craft brewery. We discovered this gem on a wine tour about six years ago. This was our first solo visit and we had the messiest, tastiest sandwiches for lunch! Always friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great assortment of canned craft beer to take home after sampling one of their flights. Absolutely worth the drive from Peterborough, Ontario.

We drank and ate here twice on our trip to NOTL! Their crispy chicken sandwiches are awesome! We’ve had the regular, curry and buffalo chicken. Their beers are solid and servers are super friendly.

Obviously the Black Lager speaks for itself. BUT the true gem was the service from Brett (aka Steve or Austin!!) Great guy, tons of fun, made our visit so much more enjoyable! We ordered the Hot Nashville Chicken Sandwich, the Sweet and Sassy Chicken Sandwich, the Cheesy Jalapeno Tater Tots and the Hot Nashville Tater Tots! Everything was amazing! Sometimes big burgers don't pack a lot of flavor, absolutely floored by how delicious the food was! Hands-down my new favorite spot, also a brewery in an old church, such a cool spot! (The Butcher Burger)

We visited this brewery after realizing all the wineries nearby closed early. They easily accommodated our group of 9 that included kids and the service was awesome. They have really good ciders and beers, but we also saw people drinking wine. The remodeled church creates a nice ambience. It is small but very cozy.

Had a great time at Silversmith tonight. I don't know what was better, our food, or the service. Let's start with the food. I ordered the Crispy Buffalo Chicken sandwich, it was very zingy, came out super fast. Topped with arugula, Buffalo sauce, and I think there was blue cheese on it. The blue cheese wasn't over powering, infact I think next time I'll ask for more. This sandwich was everything I could want in a crispy chicken, done to perfection, I highly suggest it. Our server Erin was amazing, so welcoming and able to answer any questions we had. She was extremely personable, gotta say I think I have a new friend. The setting is a renovated Anglican church, but not a creepy church, very warm, and cozy atmosphere. Not big enough for a large venue, but they have live music, and outdoor seating to enjoy the elements, nice enough area for it. Must go again and try more food, it all sounds good and comes highly suggested from a friend. Thanks Silversmith!

Came for the beer, coming back for the food…..and the beer! We were in the area to celebrate my birthday had looked this place up and seemed worth a shot. We had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the their version of the Big Mac. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was actually legit! It was hot and very very tasty and the burger was perfect, like a Big Mac only much more satisfying as the meat was quality and flavourful with a really nice sear and perfectly sauced. Oh and the beer was awesome as well! Good service, great atmosphere.Cannot wait to go back.

Hands down my favourite brewery in Niagara. Best beer, best staff (Lauren!) and best environment hands down. We’ve celebrated many birthdays and countless client and team meetings here over the years. Black Lager all day!
