Airways Brake & Muffler

My family has been coming to Airways for years. We do most of our own work but whenever we need a larger service, or a second opinion, we come to Azim. Always a positive experience, sound mechanical advice, and competitive rates.Aside: One of the negative reviews on here seems ridiculous to me, a speedbump at a walmart parking lot would have caused the same cosmetic damage to a lowered vehicle - what a goof.

Prices are incredible, I never feel like I'm getting fleeced or taken advantage of because I don't know much about cars. He always tells it exactly as it is. I won't take my cars anywhere else.

Applied Krown at this place, the result: the vehicle was semi-dry, in addition, they drilled an extra pilot hole at a door frame (initially chose the wrong spot for drilling and it was too late when the tech realized it), no usual car wash as at other Krown locations. Just wasting 150 dollars and damaging the vehicle. Communication was good, though. Only because of it 2 stars instead of 1.Ended up spending 50 dollars for a corrosion protection spray and applying it myself: three times cheaper, one hundred times better.

Azim is a straightforward and decent guy: will only do what you need, super competitive rates, guarantees his work, highly recommend!!!! I had other work done in addition to an oilchange (he charged me just 10 bucks for the oil change labour and 60 for the synthetic oil so just $70, almost half of what Jiffy Lube charged me!). He checked my brakes and let me know that I didn't need any work on them, plus he got the heat back on my driver's side of my Jeep Wrangler so saved me over $1500 by doing what he advised versus what a dealer advised!!! Many other auto shops would have tried to get me to pay for a brake job, pay more for an oil change, plus possibly recommend the dealer dismantle my Jeep for the heater core issue. So grateful that I found Azim through a coworker, will always recommend him and his crew for any work.

Azim took me in right away after going to 2 different places that were fully booked. Nice guy, and mechanically sound. Asked him about my brakes too and why they squeaked, and he offered some good ol fashion advice on how to fix them and what is wrong. Competitive pricing, and quality work on my tailpipe install. Thanks a bunch Azim!

Wish I thought about checking out the reviews but based my judgment on that azim seem to be an honest guy and my uncles good friend until he try to make it my fault. About late July I took my vehicle to azim to do a timing belt change , oil change and water pump. My vehicle was over 200k and he did bare min, not even suggesting that I get the sparks or valve replaced. Anyway I went with getting the work done. The night I pick up my car I noticed on my way home that he had not reset the oil indicator and when I called him all he said is that it’s not a big deal just go with what the sticker says. 2 weeks later again I start having issues with the vehicle again where not only did the oil maintence indicator goes off that’s its time for servicing and other errors come up and say check vsa, check emission system and check transmission system, as all this occurs during the long wknd I was not comfortable driving g my car and now I have to wait the next business day to take it to azim. The day I take it back not even concerned that I’m feeling unsafe but him acting like it’s no big deal. He corrects the oil maintenance but had no explaination for the other msgs except that it’s cause of the maintaince indicator. Plus he tells me I’m so busy and alone. Now prior to taking my car to azim I have never had any issues with my car. About 2 weeks ago I started getting the same msgs I had when I first took my car back to azim. Then last week when leaving work my car would not start period and even when I got boosted the car was not starting. Although the battery worked as there were sparks when initially trying to boost the battery . Spent about 30 mins trying and no luck until I was told I need to get it towed. Because azim is closed I had no alternative so I took it to the dealership to have it checked out, initially they could not find any issues until I said there was something wrong and u Need to fix it. The problem initiated after my car is left outside for long periods of time where the msgs come up and then when my car is parked in garage everything is fine. When I start the car after work it’s starts shaking and vibrating and the manual says to turn off the car and try starting again. After getting my vehicle looked at and fixed by the dealership and made sure I was taken care of and even explained the problem.... I went to azim with pictures and the work order and he refuses to believe it’s his fault and I should have waited until his shop was open the following week. He then tells me in the mean time I should have gone and paid a $100 for a rental to get my self to work and take care of whatever responsibilities I have. He also says the if there was an issue with the timing belt then my car would not be drivable and that my car would have taken me to kelowna and back. According to azim the errors I had in regards to check transmission, emission system and vsa has nothing to do with the timing belt. This whole experience was awful and he doesn’t want to own up to his mistakes... we’ll hopeful now will think twice about who I go to even if you are friends with my uncle

Went to inquire about putting a muffler on my truck. He said no problem will be 600 dollars, can do 450 if you want a real cheap muffler. He was the first place I inquired to it kinda scared me, that's steep. After going other places the average turns out to be 300 for a cheap muffler 350/400 for top of the line muffler install. Glad I didn't settle for the first place I visited. Would have been ripped off.

The service here is excellent and the gas prices are always at or below market price. The mechanics are efficient and friendly, and honest (most importantly). Would highly recommend a visit if you need mechanical work, or just a fill-up. Also carry propane and a carwash (coin-operated).

I have been bringing my vehicles to Airways for Krown treatment over the last four years. They are great to deal with and I could not recommend this place more. Thank you.

I booked my truck for a Krown Rust Protection. Azim did not pressure me at all. He answered all my question prior to me booking the truck in. This is the only place in Calgary you can get Krown done now. I had an appointment but I needed to get in earlier time and when I called to speak with Azim he just said come whenever I will accommodate you. It took 2 hours to complete the application. There was no rushing at all and he did a very thorough job. I will be bringing my truck here every year. Thank you Azim for the awesome customer service.
