Really don't like that a provincial park can just come in and ruin former crown land that belonged to all Canadians & put up a bunch of signs saying they own it, there were foxes and beavers living here 15 years ago. Gone now. I will never buy some ridiculous permit to camp here, & nobody else should either. This used to be a great area to see wildlife, now its just another tourist pool that stressed parents bring their kids to pee in. Our taxpayer dollars hard at work, we pay them to mess up our wilderness spaces for profit. Sweet deal for them. Thank you for putting yourselves first Ontario Parks. We expect no less.

Beautiful area in buckhorn. Loved spending few hours boating in lazy river and hiking back from the rapids where we got down to the parking lot. Decent parking is available. Had to buy $6 ticket for more than 2 hours stay. Just few steps from the parking lot is the bridge. It looks newly built. You can start tubing or boating from under this bridge . So not much of walk to start. Since it’s kawarthas, it’s full of nature. Lazy river was easy and fun for the whole family including kids. Nice place for activity with kids. We brought our boat at the left side before the rapid / small waterfall came and made our exit at that point . It takes you around 30-45 minutes to reach that rapid I believe. Saw few people crossing the rapid as well but most we’re making an exit just before it. So totally depends upon you. We were with kids so felt safe to exit just before it. Walk back is a lot fun too. The whole place has big pink rocks to walk upon. Definitely it’s not a straight hike. With our boat and kids it was a fun return. Would love to go again. Found a great gem in my list of places to visit.

One of my favorite destinations. Crystal clear flowing water, perfect to beat the heart. Plus FREE TUBING. Bring your own tube and float down the river. There is free parking and entrance is near the bridge. Float down 30 mins to a small rapid, some call it a water fall. This is the cottage for the 99%. You can rent tubes for $12.50 or bring your own tubes, $6-$20 in WalMart.

I used to go tubing here last year, but I am taking my new Girlfriend up there, and maybe stay at a Cabin or a motel and do it twice. Been there, and had lots of fun! Tubing is amazing,. and I am gonna invite my friends and have a ball this summer up there!

Beautiful area, I come here often to hike. Trails are well marked. Trails are not difficult, roots and rocks on the trails. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing is great here.

We love it here! Great walk with the kids and puppy. Everyone loves floating down the river. So much garbage today though:(.If the parking lot is full, come back another day they do ticket and tow if you park on the road

The place is very accessible to all group ages, beautiful rocks and Forest, the Creek provides calmness and refreshing clean water, a bit slippery, Aqua shoes and bug spray highly recommended, please look after your garbage and respect Nature.
