Once again on a Sunday while some of us are still working this company continues to drop the service paid for, they have absolutely no customer service at the best of time but zero on weekends.I have experienced this on to many occasions and think it’s time to bolt from this provider.Go to other providers in the area they have better service other then rulalwave powered by rogers

Third time without service in 8 months.TV went down last week (remote won’t put to the box again) Called and was advised they wouldn’t be sending anyone out they don’t have any boxes to replace it. So had to call billing and advise not paying for a service not getting.Yesterday July 24 internet went down at 1pm . Called this morning as it was still not back up and I work from home.Was advised there is an issue and they don’t know when it will be fixed.Now had to leave my home and go elsewhere so I can work.Cancelled my services with Ruralwave. Awful customer service and awful service overall. In 8 months had this issue 3 times.Don’t waste your time or money. Anyone else is better then ruralwave

Save yourself some time and money and do not use this company as your internet provider. Their download and upload speeds are horrible and their wifi is down almost every other day. paying for wifi that doesn’t even work half the time Is a waste of money and very frustrating to deal with.

I wish I could give zero stars because this company is that bad. I was with them probably 10 years ago and couldnt leave fast enough. Terrible internet connection and speed with virtually no customer service. Fast forward 10 years and the company that I was with gets bought out by Ruralwave and almost instantly the service becomes unusable. The previoius company had good coverage and great customer service. Thankfully Bell Fibe was installed in my area and works very well. Ruralwave is one of those companies that you wish you never dealt with. Dial up is better. Yes, they are that bad. Stay away.

Ruralwave customer for 7 years. They are the only ISP in our area and offer satellite internet. The connection speed is never consistent despite paying for 30mbps. We are in a week of service that is below 10mpbs and as low at 1mbps. The signal jumps up and down and this has been an ongoing issue the whole time we've had internet with them. They have serious issues with the tower that we get a signal from and since their acquisition by Rogers this still hasn't improved. If you live in a rural area and this is your only option be aware of this.They don't notify customers of service issues so expect to call in every time you have a connection issue rather than the company proactively engaging with customers to let them know the status of tower issues and when they will be resolved.

My internet has been out since Friday, it is now Wednesday. I work from home and this is entirely unacceptable. A technician came out on Sunday (which was already later than it should have been in my opinion) and said it was outside issue and maintenance would come Monday. Maintenance did not come Monday, I called RW again and they said someone should be there the following day. Tuesday maintenance arrived and poked around the lines outside for a bit. Nothing fixed. I called RW again and they advised a line had to be replaced and would be done the next day (now today). I saw the work being done this morning, but still no internet. I called RW AGAIN, and they didn't even know what was going on and told me I would get a call back. It has been 2 hours since that call and I have not received any further information. This is entirely unacceptable. Honestly, I had no issues from July 2021 - November 2022 and will change my review if my issue gets fixed TODAY!

I've been meaning to write this review for a year. When we started to look for a property on Lake Scugog, I reached out to several internet suppliers to check speeds available as we approached buying a new home. Many were unclear or refused to provide details until I met Debbie from Rural Wave. I'd send her a n e-mail asking to check max speeds at an address and she'd respond quickly to let me know if it was fast enough for us to run both work and students from home and my business. We even made an offer on a place that was conditional on speed, only to have it be 10Mbps max (not enough). We lucked out moving to Washburn Island where we have 250 Mbps service with Ignite coming this fall. I thought this was great service and Debbie a one off until...I got a call from Andigoini following up on a ticket and proceeded to give me a few options to further increase speed and enhance our stability. She followed up right away with answers to my questions, and some suggestions. Odds are we'll move over to 1 gig service ASAP because of her call and superior service level.Thanks RuralWave for having great staff that go above and beyond...now maybe you can get these people to share their great level of service with the rest of Rogers :-)

I have been a customer at ruralwave for a year now and had very little problems until the big storm hit. I tried to have them come to my place and fix my receiver but unfortunately the storm had damaged my tower and was told it needed to be fixed before they would upgrade my receiver. I understood this and had my tower repaired. I have been trying to schedule a return visit to upgrade my receiver for 4 weeks now and I keep getting the run around. Now when I call the line gets disconnected everytime I'm on hold and it's been weeks since I've talked to anyone. I'm not sure what to do now as I'm paying for a service that I'm not getting and I can't even get through to cancel. I would not recommend this company to anyone based on the service I have gotten over the last few months.

At first, our service was great. Now, it is hit and miss. I've called probably 20x in the last few weeks...they can't even figure out how to make their own phone lines work, as every time I hit 3 for technical support, I get about 30s of elevator music, then it disconnects. SO FRUSTRATING! Even more frustrating (because I have better things to do with my life than repeatedly call Rural Wave) is that they keep fixing the problem

Tried to fix my mothers internet for her on the Victoria Day long weekend. It had been out for 3 days (Thursday to Sunday.)Reset her router multiple times before eventually calling customer service. Lady was rude and dismissive on the phone, simply telling me to reset it again, before telling me it was a cable problem on their end and it would eventually be fixed.How can you charge customers for service they aren’t receiving, and not notify them about it outages and downtime in service? If there’s a cable issue like I was told, call your customers to explain and apologize. Unacceptable and not the first time. Will be recommending to her to look for an alternate provider.
