Clarke Road Secondary School

This school is not as bad as people make it out to be. I've just recently graduated (June 2017) and I have to say that it's a pretty great place. There's of course drama like any other school, and only those few teachers that are really magnificent, but it's overall great. In my time there, I made lots of friends, participated in the music program throughout taking part in Clarke Road's Monsters of Rock among other shows. I tried out a variety of different electives that they had to offer, such as cooking, music (as mentioned), computer programming, accounting, etc; all courses are taught well, and effectively. How well you do at Clarke (like anything in life) is based on the attitude you bring to the table. If you're open-minded, positive, and ready to take on the day, you'll be a successful student, and a successful person in life.Great school!

I actually go here, that being said, you can choose who you are around and you should be able to stay away from drugs if u want. Sometimes your children aren't the angels you see them as.

I am a student here and I learn next to nothing each and every day. For the past 3 weeks all I have done is watch movies and play games to the point that I'm going to go crazy. (And I'm grade 12 with mixed courses so it should be hard)

Clarke road secondary school has a very skillful and brilliant staff. I had the opportunity to work with Devon, Kellie budge and Louise Daltrey for a short tenure. They managed the class with competence and efficiency. I have had an unmatched experience and I can say with confidence that the students will be well taken care of under their guidance.

People smoke drugs about 2 feet from Arena property. Fights are common. The teachers aren't bad, and actively try to help students, the school, and it's rep. Too bad the students are hopeless, and about 50% of the girls are pregnant by the end of their time here. It's called dirt road for a reason. Sadly, this is one of your best options in the area, the other schools aren't anything to ride home about. In 2016-2017, someone was stabbed week one. You won't get stabbed constantly, but you'll be mugged enough.(Edit) It's been a year or two, let me clarify some things.Firstly, I'd like to clarify to someone who has replied to my review, when I was saying things like Fights are common"

'Were Wolv' ... So what yur sayin is that it's a typical big city high school with avg' typical students partaking in typical activities, which have typically been occurring for decades gone by and will continue as is for decades to come, which you yourself know you actually appreciate because if it were not so what would you, an avg' yet typically cranky neighbour, do 5 days a week 10 months a year if you couldnt watch it all unfold each day through the gently parted blinds in your N'W' facing window(?). Typical!

My son went there in the DE I found some teachers to be very understanding willing to help. The administration is a joke especially the principal very unprofessional they will not even return your calls. I have to take a day off work to go talk to the principal because he doesn't respond to emails or calls. When l walked through the hallways l saw so much inappropriate behavior kissing smoking in corners of the building. If you don't parents to come find you out this stuff please respond to emails and calls.

I went to school then it is 30 years ago. former student I still remember a home room number. Rm144 walk in the front door go down the hallway past the old auditorium maybe hang a right and go down the hallway and nudity and of the hallway 60 years old 30 y ago. 15 y Old teenage in the years are gone they're gone the only teenager once in her life today I work at pot time McMaster University. Terrible start for any students life. Parents, do your kids a favour, mentally , and send them elsewhere. The teachers here thrive off bullying, and belittling of their students. To name a few of these teachers: Mr Club (complete idiot), Mrs Lucas (angry old witch) Mr. Brandsma (ruined the school even further)... I could go on and on. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!
