Was on this cruise for 3 hours for St. Michael's Hospital's resident physicians' graduation ceremony. Friendly staff. Beautiful scenery. Everyone had a great time.

Let's just say that the ambiance was...lacking. Including service charges, an admin fee and taxes we paid $288.00 for two people to sit around for 4 hours waiting for food that was mediocre at best. Sure, the views of the city and the island were nice. But if you are charging this much money for a 4-course meal please make the minimum of an attempt to have some nice decor. The tables were all those fold up plastic tables people use for garage sales with a white cloth draped over. (see pic attached). They wobble when you cut your meat. No flowers, no candlelight, the music was barely heard. With this price maybe have some live entertainment? Not even a free drink was included! And when I tried to buy a bottle of white wine they were all warm.First course - one bacon wrapped scallop, two small pieces of cheese and two slices of green pepper. Oh wait, and a dried fig. Second course - arugula salad with the tiniest suggestion of goat cheese and a slice of beet. Main course - chewy roast beef and some overcooked vegetables. Third course - supermarket cheesecake. We boarded just after 6pm and didn't get the desert until 9:55 right before we pulled back into the dock. This is budget at every level.I would not recommend this to anyone sadly. Zero romance, zero vibes, zero mood. Do yourself a favour and hop on the island ferry for seven dollars and you'll have a much better experience.

We booked a Dinner Cruise with Great Lakes Schooner Co. after having a positive experience on a Sunset Sail on their sailboat, the Kajama. The ship began boarding at 7 PM and we were given seats on the upper deck with amazing views of the downtown skyline. There were only 20 other people on the cruise with us instead of the regular 150 due to Covid-19 restrictions. It was nice to have plenty of space to roam around between and after courses. We felt very seasick at first, it got a bit better once the ship left the dock. Upon boarding and settling in we were offered to purchase drinks which are not included in the price of the cruise. The price of sodas and mocktails were reasonable at $3.50 each. Our seasickness prevailed throughout dinner and afterwards too. I am not someone who usually is sensitive to this, but I really couldn’t enjoy dinner due to the unsteadiness and lightheadedness.Unfortunately, the food also dampened our experience. We opted for the vegetarian option and the appetizers tasted inedible. None of us were able to finish our serving after a few bites. The spinach salad was thankfully more palatable. As for the main course, the vegetarian lasagna was hardly a lasagna. It was just cheese and pasta sheets atop of potato wedges. The only course we truly enjoyed was the chocolate cake for dessert. Also, the cruise felt terribly endless, from 7 PM to 11:30, 4.5 hours really felt unnecessarily lengthy. We were done dessert by around 8:45 but had to kill more than another 2.5 hours before we could go back to shore. On the upside, the views were beautiful, we saw the local Parks and CN Tower along with other buildings multiple times. The only other pleasant experience besides the views was the staff. Each and every staff member was accommodating, friendly and helpful. You could see their smiles despite their masks on! They were impeccably polite and incredibly genuine. They offered to serve us ginger ale multiple times to help with the nausea and really made us felt taken care of.I would recommend taking Gravol if you plan to go on the Obsession. Also, bring a few snacks in case the food is not to your liking.

you get what you pay for, especially here. please keep your expectations reasonable and doing your research. we got a discount for over $150. we probably would not have attended under original pricingsFood: 3/10. the menu is dressed professionally although sometimes words dont match performance. the food was quite bad. indian style buns with a platter of 2 small cheese cubes, half a pound of mystery meat and discounted crackers. the crab cake was ok. the (salad) did not make any sense. a little balsamic vinaigrette would have saved the spinach leaves. we tried both the chicken and some carved roast beef. the chicken was ok. the roast beef was flavorless but had all of the (flavor) in some weird overpowering sauce. green beans and potatoes were good. cheese cake was similar to end of day sales of similar products in grocery stores. greatful we did not get a bottle of any wine. whatever wine we had tastes similar to free wine received at niagara falls in previous yearsVessel: 8/10. very impressed with the ship itself considering the renovations made to it. very clean overall considering short term and long term storageStaff: 10/10 professional and possibly experienced. very accommodatingView: 10/10. amazing. it was supposed to rain on us although we got lucky. many photos taken. even got to see your local police going out into the lake at night to serve and protect you fellow citizens :)

This boat cruise was very very disappointing. I just want to start off by saying that the staff was absolutely amazing. The servers and the manger of the wait staff were very tentative and super friendly and kind. The problem I have with this boat cruise was the food! The food was absolutely vile. First off, we booked this for my sister’s bachelorette, so we were a big group of people (8). Some of us got our dinner before others. Now, I don’t know mind waiting, but we were waiting a good 10 minutes in between for the remaining people to get their food. We boarded the ship at 6, and probably didn’t get our appetizer until 7. From where I was seated, I could see the chefs prepare the food, so the cheese stayed for more than an hour in the heat, I also saw one chef place the cheese on the plate without wearing food handling gloves, and the other chef who was preparing majority of the apps, was only wearing one glove. When I booked the cruise, they had asked if anyone had any food allergies; I said one guest had a gluten and dairy intolerance, what do they serve her? Cheese and pizza! She got the same little app as everyone else, and I had to remind them twice about the intolerance, so then they gave her veggies and hummus. When it came to the dinner portion, we all ordered chicken which was incredibly dry. Two out of the 8 people got dinner rolls with their meals, and the rest didn’t. When I asked where our bread was, the server said that the bread only came with the vegetarian option…. No one ordered the vegetarian option. Also, that just reminded me that we were only given the option of chicken or beef for dinner, when I heard the floor above us got a pasta option and we didn’t. Very disappointing and not worth the $100+ ticket. The two stars go to the staff and the views.

Awesome experience! We enjoyed it :) , but food is 2.5/5. Better if they cover the chairs at least with something, coz it looks super cheap.

Horrible horrible experience on the Obsession III!! If you are thinking about booking please don’t, trust me on this! Booked this cruise for a 60th birthday and was horrible from beginning to end. Booked for 20 people (2 separate reservations of 10) 3 months prior to the event. The company cancelled one of our reservations a few weeks beforehand for no reason, luckily we caught it in time and were able to re-book.We even went to the head office to ensure that our whole party could sit together and confirmed the booking. We again confirmed with the company two days before the event. When our party of 20 arrived our name was nowhere to be found on the list. How does this happen??? Showed the manager of the boat our reservations and accompanying emails and after a lot of back and forth they finally believed us and let us on the boat. After all the inconvenience we were told that our party would receive a first round of free drinks but when the bill came at the end of the night, we were charged for the drinks. Some of the servers were unprofessional. There was one server that ran their hands through their hair the whole night who was touching and serving our food - quite unsanitary. The boat could also be a lot cleaner. It took a long time after we got on the boat for dinner to be served and the food left a lot to be desired - it was cold and the chicken was really dry. The quantity of food was so little that everyone in our party was hungry after the lacklustre dinner.Overall this is the worst customer service experience I have experienced and would not recommend this boat to anyone. But there wasn’t much we could do so our party put on a good attitude and tried to make the most of the evening. The company promised to reach out to us but we have still yet to hear from them. Please save your money and look elsewhere!

Staff was friendly enough but if you come with a large group you are able to monopolize the entire 3.5 hours. It was insufferable and I hope future guests get to enjoy their own things as well as they are also people who paid way too much money to be on that boat.

Staff were super friendly and attentive, appetizer was delicious, salad was good, steak meal was decent but veggies were spicy and dessert was good. Coffee was not good at all.. tasted burnt as it was made very early in the evening. Beautiful views, nice atmosphere up top, boat was clean and the timing of the meal was well done. Music was good but got much too loud at times. Also oddly some chairs were different heights and mine was too high in comparison to the table.
