Capocaccia Trattoria
We went to Capocaccia for lunch on Thursday Dec 29, 2022 after being in the area for an appointment .This is a nicely laid out Italian restaurant on the end of the block at Yonge and Balmoral. They make good cappuccinos and coffees, and serve up delicious pizzas enough for two people. We also enjoyed the music playlist that “Andries” had playing in the background. This is a place that can accommodate a large family gathering, a intimate dinner for two, or a few friends or colleagues who want to hang out after work at the bar.Note: no substitutions or additions to menu items, although if possible they will remove items that you don’t want.Overall, a very good find as a restaurant when we weren’t looking for one.

Exceptional food, drinks and service. I can say this was the best Italian food experience I’ve had in Toronto so far. We loved their cheese and meat platter. Every ingredient was so fresh and delicious. Buratta was amazing and octopus was cooked perfectly, very tender. Their cocktails are very creative and unique too! Unfortunately, they don’t serve one of their top cocktails from last year (I don’t remember exactly it’s name, but it was “Garden … something”). They promised to add it back to the menu :D so check out on your next visit :) This was the most unique and delicious cocktail I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommended!

Nice Italian place. Value for money. Attentive quick service. The menu though is pretty much the usual fare most Italian places have. The seating is a bit cramped so conversation is difficult and you end up speaking over each other.

Food - 5⭐️Delicious and real Italian taste.Menu- 3⭐️limited dish option. Mostly meat and very less room for vegetarian dish.Service- 5⭐️. Truely Italian manners and very friendly staff.Price- 3⭐️ Little over priced. 16 dollar for 2 pieces of Bruschetta, overpriced.

The food was ok.The pizza had a nice thin crust but very few toppings, especially considering the price. Our server was friendly, but the manager was not friendly at all, from welcoming us to later serving. He brought our food but didn't clean the table after the appetizers. They also mixed up our pizza with the other table but didn't even say sorry. So this pizza was sitting on a neighbouring table, and he just placed it on ours without a word.Overall, we didn’t feel welcomed and won’t come back.

I enjoyed their patio seat by the “orange tree” felt like I’m in Florida :)The sea bass cooked perfectly but the zucchini has too much oil and a bit overcooked. Friendly service.

A cozy place in the middle of a busy midtown business area. We were seated in the heated covered patio which in my opinion is a lot better than the crowded interior. Service was great and prompt, our friendly waitress recommended a great bottle of 2016 Brunello which we loved. The food very well presented and delicious. A small miss on the veal chop which was not cooked to our order. The manager was nice enough to discount the plate. Other than that everything was as perfect as they could be. Will definitely come down to try more.

4.7.Great Italian midtown spot- been there for a really long time. Fresh, bright vibe, and friendly servers. The food is good with many classics on the menu- great for a team lunch or an intimate dinner. They have a lot of seating including a heated patio that they utilize through the winter. The pizzas are great and the food came out quickly! The pepperoncini are also delicious. It’s not a cheap spot, but not crazy, pastas are all around $30 and pizzas are between $23–$30+. There is no specific lunch menu and they often have specials.Gluten free options are available.

Capocaccia Trattoria is a fantastic Italian restaurant in midtown with a cozy patio ambiance. Their homemade pasta with mushroom sauce is simply perfect, and I highly recommend it over the pizza. The friendly staff adds to the overall experience. A must-visit for authentic Italian cuisine.
