Best scones in the city.I love the seasonal flavours and the jams are a must try as well.I miss be able to seat and enjoy my scones and tea at the shop.Super friendly staff and cute place.

I have been meaning to leave you wonderful folks a review for a while now. I have been enjoying your Jam for sometime now. And I have been meaning to come in and thank you personally but unfortunately due to long hours at work. I figured now is as good time as ever.I have been really enjoying the variety that my sister has brought us to try. And I have found out I could order online which I will be doing shortly.I love the variety and so easy to remember the batch #s, and where I can easily reorder a similar flavor if in stock.So far I have tried a handle of full of flavours. And honestly my favorites are.1 - Golden Plum & Golden Raspberry.2 - Classic Wild Blueberry.3 - Golden Kiwi & Mango.4 - Apricot, White Cherry & Amaretto.5 - Classic Damson PlumThank you for all that you do. I’ve ordered buttercream scones with two jams, and a few pastries from ubereats. I was really fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to find a table one day and try these amazing pieces in the stores.Update: we finally got a table for the last weekend before Christmas. It was a fantastic experience. You can try any king of tea and different jams with no limitations.The service was amazing. At the end we left with a bar of seasonal jam and a box of white wedding tea.Highly recommended.

Did the take away afternoon tea. It was very nicely packaged. It looks like a small amount of food but it was all very filling . It was all very good, scones were my favorite. I'd definitely go back and try more from this shop

5 of 5! The best scones have had so far in the city, and trust, have had a lot of scones! The imported clotted cream and home made lemon curd are soooo good with their scones, definitely put on some weight but don't regret it at all. Try the classic buttermilk or one of the fruits scones, and get the small take away packets of cream and lemon, curd, your doing yourself a disservice if you don't. The scones are nice and toasted/crisp on the outside, unbelievably soft and creamy on the inside, not once did it crumble or get powdery in the mouth. You'll be hard pressed to find better scones elsewhere. Good selection of tea that will pair great with the scones as well. Be warned, no place to sit down really, so be ready to take out and eat it outside or at home. Highly recommend to warm up on low in a toaster over as well before you have them.

I recently placed a large order for a Mothers Day celebration. The entire process of communicating via email and ordering and paying was seem less. Pick up was smooth. Best part was the scones, jam and salmon sandwiches. I have to say these are the absolute best scones I have had. We ordered buttermilk original and the blueberry lavender (Mother’s Day special). Prices are right, very fair.If you haven’t tried anything from their menu you should drop in and pick something up from their cabinet and a drink to go. They make their own Jams. My fave is the banana, bourbon and vanilla combo - think banana baby food but spiked (lol) it’s amazing.

The most beautiful and charming shop I’ve been to in Toronto! Absolutely stellar . It smells so nice when you walk in and then you’re greeted by the most friendliest of staff . I purchased the mixed berry pop tart , fudge , and a mixed berry jam . The jam was so fresh and flavorful and the pop tart was perfectly sweet . Make the special trip . You will not be disappointed!

I am a huge fan of English scones. Read a lot of good reviews about this place and finally drove 20 minutes to go there today. Parking is a pain and 4 scones cost me $21. It’s definitely overpriced comparing to any other bakery I love. However, it’s worth it. It tastes traditional English style, fresh , flakey and just a hint of sweetness. Since it’s really far, I will get the frozen ones next time when I go, so I can bake it at home

I ordered two afternoon tea boxes to be delivered for a special anniversary. Delivery was smooth but arrival time kept changing so we couldn’t leave home or plan when to eat. The food arrived after lunch, which meant we had to put it in the fridge—not ideal since there were some items that would be affected but we couldn’t let it rot. That was quite disappointing, because the texture of some items was affected because we couldn’t eat them fresh.The amount of food was way smaller than advertised—number of items and portions. It’s not good value for money.The sandwiches, I thought we’d get two but it was one sandwich cut into two, was delicious. The salmon appetizer was minuscule and the biscuit was soggy from the fridge. Not bad tasting though.The single scone was excellent, as was the clotted cream and jam they sent. But who makes an afternoon tea with one scone?Of the pastries, the tiny chocolate petit four was the only delicious one. The cake was too sweet, the biscuit was ok, and the pink cream thing was inedible.All in all, I was really disappointed in the flavour and size of the whole thing. This was for a celebration but it was a let down. I’m sure they’re doing great work, but this box doesn’t represent that.

I have so many glowing things to say about Kitten & The Bear that I’m not sure I could even fit them all into one Google Review. I made a custom order with them for a large afternoon tea event my friends and I were having during our trip to Toronto, and the staff at Kitten & The Bear were so incredibly accommodating and lovely to work with! When I walked inside the charming little shop front to pick up the order, I was immediately hit with the most mouthwatering smell of freshly baked, buttery scones. It made me incredibly excited to bring home our goods to try them, and not a single one disappointed! The afternoon tea sandwiches were all unique and flavourful, and the house made jams were tart and bursting with fruity goodness. The petticoat shortbread cake and each of its flavours were equally tasty, and so were the buttercream tea cakes. The SCONES, though… oh my god. The scones were TO DIE FOR. I am not exaggerating when I say I’ve never had better scones in my entire life, and I’ve literally dreamt about having them again since. They had a perfect slight crunch on the outside, while still being moist and buttery and soft on the inside. We had the buttermilk scones, lemon & hibiscus scones, and cheddar & herb scones, and I could not begin to pick a favourite because they were all amazing. We had a few of the buttermilk ones left over as well, and even several days later, they held up very well and still tasted great. All in all, I know that Kitten & The Bear has become a MUST-STOP place for me on all of my subsequent visits to Toronto. Thank you so much!!
