It was an accidental visit to fabulous Foods. Only to discover the house next door was my home between 1931 and 1942. Brought a tear to my eye.The street is named Merry Meeting Road. Simply the best turkey around. They've got turkey lot pies, hot turkey sandwiches that come with a pile of fries, dressing, gravy, and peas!Super reasonably priced (about $10 a for the plate pictured) - and their homemade flakies are a must-have.

The name says it all! Fabulous Foods! Not posh just perfect home-style meals served with warm Newfoundland Hospitality! Fish & Chips, Turkey Pot Pies! Turkey Roll (flip /turnover)! And oven-fresh baked goods daily! It's all simply FABULOUS!

Very friendly place to go for mom and pops style food, unfortunately the food can be kind of hit or miss if you stray from the turkey pie path. That said the turkey pies are delicious. They've also managed to keep prices pretty low for their portion sizes and competition. VERY busy around mealtimes

Stopped in for supper and picked up a Turkey pie, and a giant flakie. Easy to get distracted by all the pastries and pies on display. Staff are always on hand, very friendly!

A St. John's classic for old school take out grub!! Those turkey flips with a side of gravy for dipping are the bomb, and the cream puffs are a tower of deliciousness. You won't go hungry here, buddy.
