The place has a huge selection. I'd suggest calling before you go there though. The hours listed for them being open don't seem to be completely accurate, but I'm easy going. It's definitely worth going there.

The last remaining Kerr Street institution of my elementary and high school days of hitting up Off The Wall / Hustler skateboards, Cactus Records, and Comic Connection. Opening times may be scattered - but that is part of the journey of seeking out this one-of-a-kind record store experience. Great selection of records, sealed cassette tapes, books, publication, posters and music related ephemera that you will never see anywhere else in Ontario. Have found many amazing things inside over the years since I started revisiting this place. Prices are what they are - do your research and pay or don't - just don't complain. Where else are you going to find a sealed Dinosaur Jr cassette tape, an oversized UK poster advert for The Breeders Divine Hammer, new old stock Steelie embroidered patches, + so much more ?

Such a cool shop and kind owner, lovely to chat with, awesome vintage book selection and poster selection as well as the vinyls!

Don't waist your time. I drove an HR on 2 different occasions. Closed both times despite it saying open on his web page and sticker on his door. Would it kill you to put your proper opening time so potential customers know what time to come to your store. It's called respect for your customers of which you have none.. screw this guy, go to a store that respects your time.

Ridiculously high prices for shoddy dirty damaged records.I have tried to shop here many times over the last few months and have found it closed (despite the posted hours saying it should be open).Finally today I found it open, I wish I had not.The owner was out front playing backgammon on the street with a buddy. My first impression was that the place was very dirty and overcrowded with merchandise, mostly vinyl records and a some books and CDs. In order to even look at a lot of the stuff for sale, you have to move other stuff that is piled haphazardly on top. In one case I saw an interesting book, but when I went to retrieve it, I found that it was holding up a huge pile of other stuff and, had I removed it, I would have caused an avalanche. Also, everything had a dirty, dusty grime on it; after looking through on a few record bins my fingers had a grime on them, and the place smells of mold and must.Despite all this, I found three vinyl records I liked but no prices on them. I went to the front and the owner made me wait while he wrapped up his backgammon game (?!?) before he helped me. He told me that each record was $25. What?!? Ok, admittedly, one of the records was a rare one and looked to be in virtually mint condition and I would have paid far more than $25. But the other two records were dirty junk that I expected to be maybe $5, or $10 if overpriced. Both album covers were water-damage and smelled of mold; they were in the kind of condition that you would find records at your like Goodwill or Salvation Army store, even worse. I don’t collect records, I just listen, so I would have just thrown the covers away and cared only about the vinyl, but $25?!? Each?!? All the records were at least $25, regardless of condition and some were more. What planet is this guy living on? I left. Never go back. The next day I looked up both of these records on a few popular record-selling website ... and each record was selling, in Near Mint condition for far far less than $25... In fact, I could have bought both records online in NM condition, and including shipping, for less than $25... less than what the guy wanted for just one record.There are no prices on anything nor any posted prices and he seems to just make up prices on the spot so it is entirely possible that he just told me $25 each because he was being a jerk and was angry that I made him stop playing backgammon and come inside to ask him a question. He seems very disinterested in running a store given how often it is closed.I can only assume that all the good reviews are either (a) people with nostalgia for the store given how long its been operating and they overlook high prices and bad customer service (b) the owner treats people differently and has different prices depending on his mood that day or if he takes a liking or disliking to you for whatever superficial reason.Clearly and objectively this is a business dying a slow death with an owner who doesn’t care.

Huge collection! I couldn't stay for long, as I had a stroller with me (no room... too many records!) But it reminded me of the record stores I used to go to with my dad in the eighties. Great vibe. Gotta come back another day

This guy ripped me off big time. I needed some cash and he knew the value of the records better than I did. My mistake, I know.He put one of my records, a rare Dylan bootleg, on sale for $175, after telling me it was basically worthless and giving me less than 10 bucks.He dealt with me in a dishonest manner. He's a low-rent con man.

This place has records, lots of them. Great selection, literally anything I could think of they had, and even stuff I didn't even know I wanted. I am definitely coming back here to spend more money. The only issue was some hard pricing on records that were there on consignment, and some $10-15 records that should be sold $2-5. But finding great gems like I did will make it easy to go back again.

Hidden gem of a Vinyl/CD shop located on the mean streets of Oakville. Do yourself a favour and take a day off and spend some time finding hard to find pressings in there. Oh, and that owner guy isn't really THAT grouchy either!
