Valkyrie Western Martial Arts Assembly

Valkyrie harbors a really close knit community. They focus on acceptance and inclusion, and do everything possible to make classes accessible based on people's needs -whatever they may be. Though I don't primarily train in HEMA, I can recommend that if you are looking for a martial arts school that doesn't just give you a one size fits all approach" and helps you grow both mentally and physically

Just tried out their intro class and had a blast. Great atmosphere and friendly knowledgeable staff. Been doing martial arts here and there and I find I always feel beaten up after awhile. Sword fighting seems a lot more forgiving on the body and something that I'll be able to do for a lot longer as I get older (Jean-Luc Picard?) Alas, I won't be joining as I am only here on vacation but for anyone thinking about trying it out, I highly recommend it!

Valkyrie WMAA is an incredibly welcoming place for people of all backgrounds and talents. I attended a great German longsword and ringen (wrestling) workshop and felt immediately at home! Highly recommended.

I recommend this place to everyone that I care about who wants to learn sword fighting. Super safe, actually inclusive, and great for folks who love the colour purple, like me.
