Sweet Surrender Gelato

Delicious ice flavours. I’m so glad we saw this ice cream shop as it had different flavours compared to the other competitors in the area. We tried the goat milk with nuts and the milk tea and we enjoyed both flavours. The cone was a little too thin and I’m a slow eater with ice cream so I found the cone softening up faster than I can eat it all. However very tasty ice cream and I would recommend the milk tea as it pairs perfectly with the cone. They do give a generous portion per scoop!

One of my favourite ice cream spots in Vancouver. The interior and the overall ambience is so bright and welcoming. I love the Asian-fusion flavours, the Miso Caramel is my personal favourite.

Wow!!! Highly impressed. This is one of those have to try places. Their Gelato is one of the best I have ever had and I have had a lot of Gelato. This place beats Salt and Straw, Rain or Shine, and Village Ice cream and those are already pretty good. You can literally taste the high quality and freshness of their Gelato. AMAZING!The scoop :Waffle cone: the best waffle cone I have ever had! It tasted like a fresh waffle version of Cinnamon toast crunch cerealCharcuterie Gelato: so creative. Each mouthful was literally like biting into a cool cloud of goat cheese enhanced by the sweetness of dates and the crunch of maple pecans. So good!!! Very clean tasting too.Raspberry Beet Sorbetto: so smooth and refreshing. You can taste the sweet beets!Will definitely be back!

The shop is cute. The gelato texture was smooth, rich and great. I got hojicha & chocolate strawberry while my husband got matcha & London fog. I don't really know why but there's something still missing to call it excellent. Maybe they lack something bold, some characteristics in flavors. For example, they have espresso here but at Earnest icecream, they add the real coffee flakes, they have hazelnut here but Earnest has whiskey hazelnut and you can feel both the alcohol flavor and the nut texture, etc.

Visited this shop today for the first ever, and was so impressed!! Owners are so kind and generous and the quality of the ice cream was amazing ! My husband and I opted for their vegan flavors made with milk alternatives and they were both soo Delicious! We really enjoyed our experience and our yummy ice cream. 5 star reccomend!! Really good stuff. We will be coming back for sure !

Cute new little gelato parlour in the heart of Steveston in Richmond. Very friendly and excellent service. Clean and pretty decor inside.I had the HK Milk Tea:It was very smooth and creamy, with a strong fragrant tea flavour. Sweetness level was great as well. I really enjoyed this because not many gelato/ice cream places can extract the tea flavour well from my experience. They use premium Avalon milk & cream for all their gelato creations.I also sampled the Hojicha, London Fog, Miso Caramel (sort of like a salted caramel, it does not taste like miso soup at all) and Espresso. These were also very authentic tasting, and flavourful.They also offer waffle cones / waffles cups (which were sold out when I went unfortunately), as well as pints.Edit: I visited again and tried the waffle cones! Nice and crispy. Mango Yuzu Sorbetto was refreshing too.

My 3 year old daughter rates their couverture chocolate ice cream as the best. She’s had dozens of other places like Earnest, Timothy’s, Purdy’s, Bella, nothing can dethrone Sweet Surrender at Steveston. We’ve earned 3 free scoops in their loyalty program just on the chocolate ice cream.Other amazing flavours the adults have tried are the espresso and hojicha.

Great little place Extremely clean. We picked up 2large bowls(flavours in each) in personal order of preference Hojicha, Uji Matcha, Pistachio & Miso Caramel Swirl.Now my kids on other hand Loved the Miso Caramel Swirl so I suggest to try them all.We also signed up for the Rewards program was painless.Enjoy the weather and Steveston everyone.

Good gelato in a small, quaint shop. It is quite small and crowded inside, layout could be a bit better to accommodate more people. Espresso coffee was much too bitter and strong. They allow free samples of the flavours.

Loved the ice cream which was more creamy than most places. I'd rank it as one of the best I've had. If you're in the area I strongly advise you to try it. My favourite was the Peppermint Chip but lots of good flavours.
