The owner of this business did personally attended my home in April 2023 to repair a solar heating system that he had installed for the previous owner of the property, and he carried out the required repairs to get the system working as I had previously requested. The communication leading up to the service call was great and the owner acted very professional and although we had a prior misunderstanding related to this issue, I was completely satisfied with the work performed and would use Kegel Heating and Cooling in the future.

Just had a new Lopi wood burning stove and chimney installed (replacing old) in our cottage. From start to finish we thought the Kegel team has been great to work with. Beckie and Morgan in the office are easy to deal with. Greg our sales consultant was very knowledgeable. Install team of Todd, Brian and Jamie where great. 2 hours, in and out. Very clean and meticulous with their work.We highly recommend the team at Kegel.

We had a propane boiler system installed 4 years ago that got progressively worse. When the installer attempted to address the problem the final time, the upstairs of our house went to 16 degrees .... so I called Kegel for a second opinion. Tim came over almost immediately arriving at around 7pm. He discovered the primary cause and sent a technician the following day to study the issue in detail. In less than 24 hours they were able to show me manual adjustments to the old system that I needed to make daily to keep the house above 19 degrees. Within a couple of weeks, Kegel sent in Kieran and his team to replace the system with something properly sized and properly plumbed for our radiant floor system. It works great and we have had a followup call from Kieran to check on the status. The system works so well that we are able to reduce the heat at night and raise it at 5am so the house is warm again by the time we get up. The pumps no longer run 24 hours, the temperature inside reaches 20+ degrees quickly and the boiler does not cycle continuously. I fully expect to see my hydro bill and my propane bill go down as a result of the pumps and boiler no longer having to work non stop. I would recommend Kegel to anyone who wants it done right the first time!Don C

Great experience with the whole Kegel team for our heat pump, new ducting and new fan system. Great Service. Being in cottage country is hard enough to get anyone to come and do the work. I got my furnace work done in half the time and needless to say half the cost of the other Haliburton company. Kegel were professional, called to give me a date, showed up on time, completed the work and left the cottage spotless. I highly recommend them.

After working with Kegel Heating and Cooling this past year to replace my gas fireplace fan and connect it to a Nest thermostat, I can't say enough about how professional, prompt and caring this company is. While the Nest thermostat modification had some wrinkles, I could count on Tim Kegel's staff to correct the problem and inform me how to avoid future problems. I look forward to depending on Kegel for any future heating and cooling needs I have at my cottage. Well done!!

In 2014 we built on Percy Lake and had a local Heating and Cooling contractor install an expensive lake loop geothermal heating system. With our frustration and stress levels climbing over the years, as a result of mechanical and system design issues, no response to many emails, texts and voicemails, we decided enough was enough. Life is too short.We were so fortunate to have come across Kegel Heating and Cooling and in particular Tim and Kieran. Through their perseverance and methodical process off elimination and of course some $$, they were able to develop a game plan to sort out our system. With 9 thermostats replaced, a circulating pump resized, wiring changed, piping changed, freon leaks fixed, pressure switches replaced, Kegel Heating and Cooling has now given us the system we should have had from the initial install.We can now honestly say we are, enjoying our 'first' heating season with not having to worry about the next failure, enjoying even heating throughout the cottage and also enjoying a much quiet unit with uninterrupted sleep patterns.It was the professional, knowledgeable and dedicated service both Tim and Kieran provided until the problem was solved that made the difference between having a mediocre versus superior system. It's never easy taking someone else's issues and re-engineering them to get to the heart of the problem. Thanks guys for being there for us.

Used Kegel for a service when we bought a new home in the area, their name was on the unit.They were quick and efficient and no hidden costs. - Was very happy, called them again and completely different experience.Called for a service call, our furnace would not shut off, they sent out two techs, it took them 2 hours to sort out a pinched thermostat wire, cots us over $550 with a very non detailed bill, when I called to get it broken down I was told they charged us $160 for 25 feet of thermostat wire, currently available at HD for in a 50' roll for $64I know they don't shop at HD, but as a professional company they are charging $160 for something that would have cost me about $32. Plus 2 hours to diagnose a pinched thermostat wire in a completely open environment with no hidden wires as we were having renovations done so everything was easy to access.No concern when I called to question them. They will probably not be the first call next time sadly.Make sure you get an estimate and get a complete break down for what you are getting, we had ONE line itemized on our invoice, Service call $494 Wilf & Sean. not what I was expecting since the last time we used them they were so much better and no hidden costs.
