We sat at the Bar outside, the staff, other than one kind brunette female, was absolutely horrible. Unfriendly and uninterested in their customers, they spent more time speaking, laughing, socializing and serving each other than the guests at the Bar. One particular server, working in the restaurant, a man, with blonde hair and a long blonde beard, was quite rude. I found him to be lacking in what he should be as a server, especially since I have been in the profession and know how to treat customers. The view is nice, the drinks are expensive, the atmosphere is lacking, due to the staff. A cook, blonde man, preparing food at the Bar outside, decided he would sneeze all over the area he was working at, without covering his mouth, I found this to be disgusting. Visit for yourself and come to your own conclusions, is all that I can advise..

Excellent service, delicious food and good ambience. Server was very kind and knowledgeable about the food, especially with my allergies. We enjoyed the seafood platter immensely! And highly recommend the chocolat l’ultime as well.

Although they don't have an English menu, they explained us what they had to offer. We ordered 6 different tapas dishes. Everything we got was SUPER delicious!

Commendable for the creativity of the dishes.However the too frequent appearance of foie gras is a detraction, and only a limited selection of wines by the glass.The restaurant is comfortable, with pleasant river views and enjoyable service.

I have been here for dinner a couple of times but never got any decent photos because the lighting in this restaurant is quite romantic lol. This time we requested a table outside as it is summer .This place is quite well known in MTL. They do tasting menus (5 or 7 service) and you can also add on wine pairing.

Came here for Trois-Rivières à table. Food was great and service was excellent. Very nice ambiance, too. I had been here before (a few years ago) and it never disappoints.

Poivre Noir is known, since a long time, as one of the fine dining destinations of the province of Quebec. We did not regret driving from Montreal all the way to Trois-Rivieres for our dinner at Poivre Noir. Service was world class, the food creative, and we found that they deserve their enviable reputation.

very nice fine dine dining experience at a very affordable price. You also have a great view of the river. Entrees are innovative and delicious, the combinations of ingredients work great. The mango cuts through the richness of the fois gras nicely without overpowering the flavor of duck. tartare has different accompanies on top, mushroom, jerky and fois, these ingredients really bring out the flavor of beef and provide different texture and taste, making each bit different. the main was a little bit diapointing, meat was chewy and flavor is...nothing special, but considering the price point, it is good enough.

Went for a 5 course meal with family the other day. It was a wonderful experience, staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. One of the higher class restaurants of Trois-RIvières, totally worth it if you have the time and money.
