Was looking for a diner in this area and bumped into this place whilst visiting Kitchener.When we first went in it seemed very odd as no one came to seat us down for sometime despite seeing we are waiting.Once we were seated the service was quick. Loved the retro ambiance and was surprised how big the place was.Liked the menu which had a lot to pick from. Portions seemed like a decent size.The fish and chips looked humongous in size and the waffle with chicken also looked great.

Super cute and trendy diner. The staff were fun vintage looking uniforms. The food was delicious and the price point was great! I brought my Dad on Father's Day and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Will return again.

It was my first time here. Firstly, the ambiance of the diner is just amazing. Very retro and classic look. I absolutely loved it. I ordered french skillet and pancakes. I have to say that it was amazing. The chicken in french skillet was amazing and soo crispy. The combination of eggs, chilli, chicken and cheese was just a perfect combination and i loved it from its very first bite. Though this kind of food is different to what i am used to eating, I still very much love this variety of food and I definitely do plan on visiting again and try more of their food varieties.

Good place for family brunch. Dinner has lot of food options, pancakes and wraps are pretty good. Burger lack the juicyness for me, it could have been better. Sweet potato fries over home made fries. chocolate milkshake was good as well.

Mel’s is a great place to go for breakfast! The staff are all friendly and the food is served quickly no matter how busy they are. Every time we have been there we have been seating quickly which is nice. Food is always hot. Never had an issue! Oh and their milkshakes are delicious!!

Mels dinner is located at the intersection of ottawa st and westmount rd in a corner strip mall. There is lot of parking since they are located at the corner. Yes we ordered kids menu pancake and sausage along breakfast regular which was amazing accompanied with coffee. The best part is they are welcoming customer service and cleanliness. Amazing must go to place in the city

The staff is just awesome! Great service! Busy on the weekends. Fantastic gluten-free pancakes!! The best I've ever had! Wish they had vegan gluten-free pancakes! Kids always love their breakfast & kids meals.
