The Boat
To be honest the best thing about the boat is the location and the service. The rest was below average. To start with the tables and chairs are old looks like they collected them from Facebook market the tables are clean but they never cleaned the fence around the boat. We ordered the Thai calamari it was disgusting sweet and weird then we got the salmon burger and fish and chips. The burger was ok coleslaw was disgusting and the fries tasted like old oil. The fish was big generous and tasty the sauce with it was not it had no taste almost. They need a new chef new décoré and some fence cleaning and they will be 5 stars. The waitress was very friendly and the food come quickly.

Service -not good. Poorly trained staff with no management in sight to ensure customers are satisfied.Food -quality not very good. Undercooked fries and fish. Some items were ok such as the corn dog that our boy ordered. But that was it.If you are looking to just have fun and want a nice view and don’t really care about quality, then this will work for you. I just know they can do better. I will leave you with a picture of the ketchup bottle that came 15 minutes after I received my fries for some context. The wait staff were overwhelmed and expressed that.

It was ok. Our server was so nice! So that's a plus. She did everything right.However, the food and dining area were, meh.- the table we got was so wobbly! Fix that please. It made it hard to eat.- Was kinda annoyed by the fact that there's no free refills on pop. Ok, at least the server again did everything right and let me know beforehand.- I ordered the house pickerel. Which I'll admit was averagly good (and a pretty decent size). But for the most expensive thing there, I expected a little more than good. And the little amount of tartar sauce was laughable.As a place that's supposed to be a staple of North Bay, it was just ok. Wish it was a little more.

My wife and my self injoy going to the boat in the summer, last Saturday we went for lunch july 8 at 1:00p.m. the hostess ask me (a table for two) I replied yes and she took us to a picnic table, I told her I couldn't sit at a picnic table I have a bad back and ask her if we could sit at a table on the deck, there was 5 empty tables that I could see maybe more she said to me I can't sit you there you have to sit here because of the way we have the servers set up, I said to her I don't care if the service is slow I can't sit at a picnic table, she then said to me have a nice day. I said to her I can't believe you don't want my business. I can't believe this place will not accommodate some one with a small disability. Good thing I was not in a wheelchair. I guess there business is doing very well and they can pick and choose who they want to serve we will never be back again. P.S. we went to another restaurant and spend $150

Great space and food! Stayed at the Hilton nearby and took a quick walk to The Boat. Food was quick and tasty, service was friendly. Nice job guys!

Highly Recommended!Great place to have some good dinner and drinks with friends. It was Saturday night so they also had a bar night which was I believe has to be the most happening party in the North Bay.We tried chicken wings, veggie burger, and buffalo chicken paddle and everything tasted great. Cocktail was too sweet for me.The staff is friendly and ofcourse the patio is one of a kind with Lake Nipissing doing it’s thing with tall waves.If you’re in North Bay, this is the place to go.

The food, atmosphere, and customer service here was top notch. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was great. Beautiful view! It was so nice eating here.

Can not be missed if in North Bay !!!!!The restaurant/ bar/ night club/ patio is just amazing. The food is next level and so are the drinks. Reasonably priced and a unique concept. Sunsets from the patio are unreal. The vibe makes you go crazy. Things which can be improved are outdoor seating, it’s all weathered. Do not miss their night party on weekends, it’s crazy and the crowd is amazing too. Must visit

I’ve been here a few times and I really love this place. Excellent location by the water and the staff are always very friendly.I’ve had fish and chips here, many times. And it’s always very good.I had the fish tacos here for the first time and it really needs improvement, the taste just isn’t there. The tortilla was like a bread, too thick. Fish didn’t have the taste and the sauce was over powering. Hope the management sees this and makes a change.I can’t reduce the rating based on the fish tacos, the rest of the food is very good.

Speed of the food, vibeyness of the patio and quality of the service made me want to come back next time I'm in North Bay. Portion size of the fish and chip was generous too. Wasn't much of a breeze so we had a couple of wasps doing the rounds but nothing that can be helped.
