Tofino Yoga

Amazing classes and unique locations! My friend and I just visited Tofino, luckily just as yoga classes were starting up again. Our teacher Dede took extra cleaning measures to create a safe environment. Last year we had joined some morning classes on Mackenzie Beach, and this year because of the rain we had a chance to practice in the barn at the Botanical Gardens next to the goats and roosters. A great way to start the day/warm up before surfing, and the restorative class was relaxing after a day of exploring. We can’t wait to visit again and try the SUP yoga!

My cousin and I planned a custom yoga retreat with Tofino Yoga in May 2017. Our experience was amazing! Dede from Tofino Yoga warmly welcomed us at one of the beaches upon our arrival in Tofino. She made us feel connected with Tofino’s breathtaking natural surroundings throughout our retreat. Dede personalized our private beach yoga sessions to meet our needs and comfort level. One of my favourite experiences was our stand-up paddle board (SUP) lesson at Mackenzie Beach. I know for a fact that our trip to Tofino would not have been as meaningful, memorable and fun if we had not booked our custom retreat with Tofino Yoga.

Excellent morning beach class hosted by Dede! Felt relaxed and ready to start my day! Tofino yoga does a great job making sure everyone is safe concerning COVID-19. Mats are cleaned and sanitized before and after class. Reduced class sizes make it easy to physically distance while still being able to hear the instructor. Dede did a fantastic job guiding us through the session. Fit for a beginner through advanced using modified positions. Felt very comfortable through the whole experience.

Attending classes outdoors, both on the beach and at the beautiful botanical gardens, was an extra unique opportunity that really added to my Tofino vacation experience! All the classes I attended were of exceptional quality. I alsoappreciated mats being provided as well as thoughtful considerations of timely sanitation and social distancing considerations that made practicing in these times possible.

Absolutely amazing practise on the beach with Dede. She incorporated a very impactful introduction to the class regarding the history of the land that we were practising on which made the practise that much more powerful. Thank you Dede!
