The Easy Rider

Solved！I bought a bataleon board from them one and half months ago, and the top sheet cracked without any outside forces. Went back today for warranty but was told that Bataleon boards crack under cold weather and warranty does not cover it. If I was told at the time when I bought it I would have chose a different board. When they already know ahead of time that the board is expected to crack they should have better customer service and tell the customers what they should be expecting when purchasing an almost 600 dollars board.Update:It's been almost a month and I called 3 times, no solution. Support your local snowboard shop?

Having shopped at Easy Rider many many years ago when I was skateboarding I figured it was time to stop by the shop when we decided we wanted paddle boards. With virtually no knowledge of the gear we went in to discuss our possible options. Warren and his staff were great from the second we walked into the store.They wasted no time in showing us all of the options and explaining each of them instead of just saying, here is the board you need and that's that. They didn't rush us with our purchase and there was no up selling involved at any point in time which is a rarity these days.When you're looking at purchasing equipment I would strongly suggest you consider the source and the knowledge of the staff at the store. Sure, costco sells paddleboards but are they the right board for you? Probably not. Does costco have over ten years of experience selling them, they don't.Best of all, support your local stores. The prices are the same as online but you get to talk to people with experience and see things first hand. We all know if something goes wrong the websites won't be there to save you.Thanks to all of their help we had a great first cruise down the river the day after we bought the boards!

Over the past 8 years about I’ve bought two different snowboard set ups from here (board, bindings and boots) and each time I have had a great experience. The staff each time have been very helpful and passionate about what they do, and the gear I bought and enjoyed the most always came from the east rider! Overall a great store and staff

These folk are legends. I delammed my old split board and needed a new one to keep shredding! Not only did this shop have a great line-up of awesome sticks, they even drove the new board plus packing material up to a friend who was working in the area, so it could be delivered to me in BC asap. Thank you!

incredible experience today. i highly recommend this shop. my partner and i went in today to buy a longboard and had exceptional service. She ended up buying an Arbor longboard, and wrist guards. The great person who helped us out at the till and who we had talked to, i believe the owner, also did an act of kindness to us that we will definitely carry forward. If you want to go to a shop that treats everyone who comes through the door with respect, i’d recommend stopping in The Easy Rider. We will be back!

Just had an amazing customer service experience. Brought some boots in with a BOA binding system that were not running smoothly. I expected to leave the boots and come back at a later date and pay for the repair. Warren took them apart and fixed as I watched and sent me away without a bill. Very impressed!!

My most recent adventure to Easy Rider (as I never know what I will walk out with half the time), left me compelled to leave this review due to the outstanding service I received once again. When I first came to Edmonton 16 years ago from Australia I was looking for a board shop to help me get out of the stress of Canadian winters. When it was first suggested to me to try Easy Rider I haven’t looked back. I have always been happy with my purchases and I am always finding and learning new stuff while in the store.It may seem like a boutique or specialized store, but you are always greeted from the moment you walk in with a smile and help to find exactly what you are looking for. They have such a great selection of the best boards both Summer and Winter, as well as apparel, accessories and more, which will not leave you disappointed. Easy rider will also do repairs and services to your your equipment which is great when you don't have time or the know how.I truly recommend Easy Rider to all, no matter your levels of expertise. From the knowledgeable and friendly staff to the great gear and fantastic boards you truly cant go wrong with this local Edmonton gem. Enjoy
